𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗮𝘆!

On this Labor Day, Jose Rizal Memorial State University honors the strength, dedication, and invaluable contributions of all Filipino workers whose hard work continues to drive our nation’s growth and prosperity. May this celebration serve as a tribute to their dignity and passion in building our communities and shaping our shared future.

𝗢𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗱 𝗗𝗮𝘆, 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗲: 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗦𝗲𝘁𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸

The air was heavy, as if it carried the weight of unspoken disappointment. Clouds hung low, mirroring the mood of the delegates. Faces once bright with anticipation now reflected uncertainty and quiet doubt. On the second day of the 14th FASMin Congress 2026 in Tangub City, students from Jose Rizal Memorial State University–Katipunan Campus (JRMSU-KC) were facing a tough reality as they were ranked 15th out of 21 schools.

With the crop-based and literary competitions already halfway done, the early results were not in their favor. Many felt disappointed, and some even started to doubt if they could still make it to the top. The excitement from the first day slowly faded, replaced by silence and worry. But even in that moment, not everyone gave up.

The Rodeo Team held on to their determination. While others were feeling discouraged, they chose to stay focused and continue fighting. They believed that the competition was not yet over and they proved it on the third day. One by one, and as a team, members of the Rodeo Team in cattle and non-cattle events delivered strong performances. With several of them secured top places, and some even winning 1st place. Their victories brought back energy and hope to the entire delegation.

Because of this, the overall standing of JRMSU-KC started to improve.
From being 15th, the university climbed up to 7th place by the end of the congress. It was a big jump and a proud moment for the team, especially since they also improved from last year’s 9th-place finish. More than the rankings, their experience showed something important: even when things don’t go as planned, giving up is not the answer.

Sometimes, all it takes is one group to stay strong and remind everyone to keep going. For JRMSU-KC, the Rodeo Team became that reminder—proving that a setback can still lead to a strong comeback.

On the 18th day of April 2026, the Bachelor of Science in Forestry participated in the first annual Research Congress of Jose Rizal Memorial State University - Katipunan Campus with the theme, "Synergy for Sustainability: Empowering Research, Enabling Change." held at the Farmer's Training Center.

Our Delegates presented their research papers with confidence and mastery, answering the panelists effectively - showcasing their skills and knowledge in their respective studies. Among the three presenters of BS Forestry, Ms. Joice Bersales and Ms. Reziel Pabes, both fourth-year students, qualified to present their research study on the International stage of Student Research Congress.

Sila ang bayani ng bayan, tahimik subalit magiting at masigasig na nagsusumikap upang matiyak ang sapat na pagkain sa bawat hapag.

Nararapat lamang na sila ay kilalanin, pahalagahan, at suportahan, sapagkat sa kanilang kamay nakasalalay ang seguridad sa pagkain at kinabukasan ng ating bansa.
