The 10th Regional Community Defense Group (10RCDG) opened its 2-Day ROTC Convention at the 4th Infantry Division, Philippine Army, Camp Evangelista, Patag, Cagayan de Oro City. With the theme “One Standard, One Mission, Advancing ROTC Excellence Towards a Disciplined, Patriotic, and Service-Oriented Citizenry in Region 10,” the activity gathers ROTC cadets and training staff to strengthen leadership, teamwork, and readiness among youth in Northern Mindanao.

Brig. Gen. Samuel B. Manzano PA, Deputy Commander, RESCOM, PA, served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker, joined by Col. Bernard T. Ragus, Group Commander, 10RCDG. The convention highlights the Army’s continuous commitment to developing responsible and service-oriented young citizens who are prepared to contribute to nation-building and the reserve defense posture.

💂‍♂️✨ Today August 29, 2025 marks the Joint ROTC Opening Ceremony of Colegio de Kapatagan (CdeK), Christ the King College de Maranding (CKCM), Lanao School of Science and Technology Inc. (LSSTI), and North Central Mindanao College (NCMC). Together, we embody leadership, camaraderie, and dedication to nation-building. 🇵🇭

We are now accepting aspiring cadets to undergo Officer Candidate Qualifying Course (COQC) and be part of the next corps of ROTC officers.

The Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) Orientation for Batch 2025–2026, held at the Kapatagan Gymnasium, serves as the official introduction of new and returning cadets to the principles, policies, and practices of the ROTC program. This activity aims to familiarize participants with the program’s vision, mission, objectives, and organizational structure, as well as instill discipline, respect, and camaraderie among the corps.

Through a series of briefings, demonstrations, and interactive activities, cadets gained a clear understanding of military courtesy, proper conduct, uniform regulations, attendance policies, and the chain of command. The orientation also provides an avenue to promote leadership skills, physical preparedness, and esprit de corps, ensuring that all members are equipped with the knowledge and mindset necessary for the successful ex*****on of their duties.

The ROTC Orientation marks the first step in preparing the Batch 2025–2026 cadets to become disciplined, responsible, and service-oriented individuals committed to upholding the highest standards of patriotism and leadership in service to the community and the nation.
