Gadang Elementary School athletes proudly represented the district of Kapangan in the recently concluded Provincial Meet, achieving remarkable results in various events and showcasing the school's athletic spirit.

In badminton, Claire Melio and Jyrynz Kate Selmo secured a silver medal🥈 in the girls' doubles category, displaying exceptional teamwork and skill. Their male counterparts, Klient Sapalat and Reykinther Cabesa, brought home the bronze medal🥉 in the boys' doubles category, adding another achievement to the school's record.

In chess, Meljun Aliba and Joan Agayap represented the school with pride, demonstrating strategic thinking and perseverance. Meanwhile, Cleofe Dagdagen competed in table tennis, gaining valuable experience in the event.

The school commends the athletes for their hard work, determination, and sportsmanship. These achievements highlight the talent and dedication of Gadang Elementary School's learners, making the school proud.

These achievements would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of their dedicated coaches Ma'am Glory Sapigao, Ma'am Joiseta Tamolang, Ma'am Andrea Pacio ,and Ma'am Rita Bagtila who guided and trained the athletes to excel in their respective sports. The barangay officials of Gadang, parents, and the local community also played a vital role, providing moral support to ensure the pupils were well-prepared for the competition.

On November 27 and 28, badminton players from Kaliwaga Barrio School and Belingbelis Barrio School visited Gadang Elementary School for friendly matches and training. The practice sessions were productive, allowing players to refine their techniques and strategies. Their training continued on November 29 at Sagubo Elementary School, where players further honed their skills in a new setting.

In the spirit of collaboration, Gadang’s table tennis player also traveled to Balakbak Elementary School to train with other players. The exchange of strategies and practice with different opponents enriched their preparation.

Gadang’s two chess players together with Balakbak ES player also participated in a joint practice session at Pongayan Barrio School. These collaborative training efforts provided valuable opportunities to test their skills against a variety of opponents.

The success of these preparations would not be possible without the unwavering commitment of the coaches and teachers. Their sacrifices, including hours of training, travel, and guidance, have been instrumental in ensuring the athletes are well-prepared.

The collaboration among schools underscores the spirit of teamwork and mutual support. Best of luck to all participants in the provincial meet!

Their dedication to sharing knowledge and skills has greatly enhanced the preparedness of our staff and learners in handling emergency situations.

After a lengthy wait due to schedule changes, the athletics games finally took place, and our athletes from Gadang Elementary and Lao-angan Barrio School, along with their dedicated coaches, gave it their all! Though they didn’t bring home awards, their hard work, team spirit, and commitment made us all proud.

Thank you, athletes and coaches, for representing your schools with such dedication. Congratulations on a great effort!
