Face-to-face classes in all levels for both public and private schools within the Municipality of Kalibo will be suspended and shifted to online and modular classes on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, in observance of the Feast of San Juan de Bautista as stated in Executive Order No. 043, Series of 2026.
The directive aims to ensure public safety, orderly traffic management, and crowd control during the festive street processions and traditional water-dousing ("basaan") activities associated with the town's patron saint.
This religious celebration provides students and families the opportunity to safely participate in the religious activities and devotions while preserving and celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the Kalibonhon community.
