These were the words once declared by Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr., words that would come to carry an even deeper meaning through his life and sacrifice. Today, we commemorate his courage, which became the voice against oppression, and his death, which became a turning point in the Filipino people’s journey toward democracy. His story reminds us that change does not always begin with the loudest voice or the strongest hand. Sometimes, it starts with having the guts to stand up for what is right, even when it comes at a great cost. ✊

As we remember Ninoy, may we also reflect on the freedom we enjoy today and the responsibility that comes with it. May his courage remind us, especially as young Filipinos, to remain vigilant, to speak with truth, and to never take our freedom for granted.

⚡ Serve as a Nutrition Advocate by encouraging healthy eating habits among peers.
⚡ Serve as a Hydration Advocate by promoting proper water intake and healthy beverage choices.
⚡ Be a confident or aspiring Public Speaker who can communicate wellness messages effectively during school activities.
⚡ Be Digitally Responsible and Creative, capable of promoting wellness through social media, digital posters, videos, or other online platforms.
⚡ Exhibit good moral character and uphold the school's core values.

As announced by Kalibo Mayor Juris B. Sucro, face-to-face classes from Preschool to Senior High School, both public and private, in the Municipality of Kalibo are suspended today, August 7, 2026, due to the PAGASA Orange Heavy Rainfall warning No. 2 ⛈️

𝐅𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄 | Nourishing Change, One Snap at a Time

Nutrition Month is more than an annual celebration—it is a reminder that every healthy choice we make today shapes the future we build for ourselves. While maintaining proper nutrition can be challenging amid schoolwork, extracurricular activities, and busy schedules, small and consistent habits remain the foundation of a healthier lifestyle.

In celebration of Nutrition Month 2026, the RSHS VI Bulletin introduced SayGla: NutriSnap, a weekly online photo challenge that encouraged students to share original photos of themselves enjoying healthy meals or snacks. Centered on the theme “You Eating Healthy!”, the activity transformed a simple social media post into a meaningful way of promoting wellness within the school community.

Rather than simply telling students to eat healthy, NutriSnap encouraged them to become advocates through their own actions. Every uploaded photo became a reflection of conscious food choices, showing that balanced nutrition can be practiced in everyday life. From colorful fruit bowls to homemade meals and nutritious snacks, each entry highlighted the different ways students choose to nourish themselves.

The challenge also fostered participation beyond the classroom. By inviting students to engage through the school’s social media platform, NutriSnap created a space where healthy living could be celebrated, shared, and appreciated by peers. The friendly competition, with the most-reacted photo earning the title of NutriSnap Champion, added excitement while inspiring more students to take part.

More than just a photo contest, NutriSnap served as a reminder that promoting health does not always require grand gestures. Sometimes, awareness begins with something as simple as sharing a meal that fuels the body and mind.

As Nutrition Month continues to encourage healthier lifestyles, initiatives like NutriSnap prove that even one snapshot can inspire positive choices. In every healthy plate captured and every story shared, students demonstrate that good nutrition is not only a personal responsibility but also a habit worth encouraging—one snap at a time.
