SUSPENSION OF CLASSES!!!

Due to a scheduled power outage affecting our area, all tutorial sessions scheduled for Friday, July 24, 2026, will be suspended.

CLASS SUSPENSION ADVISORY FOR TOMORROW, JULY 24, 2026

Aklan Electric Cooperative, Inc. (AKELCO) has issued Power Advisory Reference No. 2026-07-213, informing the public of a scheduled power interruption on Friday, July 24, 2026, from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., due to the pole relocation and pay-out of three-phase tree wire conductors; hence, classes in all public and private schools from Kindergarten to Senior High School within the affected areas of the Municipality of Kalibo are hereby SUSPENDED on Friday, July 24, 2026.

Executive Order No. 050 Series of 2026 covers all schools situated within the following areas affected by the scheduled power interruption as identified in AKELCO Power Advisory:
• Entire Poblacion, Kalibo
• Barangay Andagao: (Jaime Cardinal Sin Avenue; Sta. Monica; Portion of Ureta Road)
• MKWD Libtong, Barangay Mobo
• Barangay Bakhaw Sur
• Barangay Bakhaw Norte
• Bliss Site
• Brgy. Old Buswang

School heads are encouraged to adopt appropriate alternative learning modalities, where feasible, in accordance with existing policies, rules, and regulations of the Department of Education.

Private schools within the affected areas that are adequately equipped with reliable alternative power sources and can ensure a safe, conducive, and uninterrupted learning environment may, at the discretion of their respective school administrators, continue the conduct of classes, provided that such decision is consistent with the welfare and safety of learners.
