๐ฑ Lost in the Scroll?
Every day, countless students pick up their phones intending to check just one notification. Five minutes turns into thirty. Thirty minutes becomes an hour. Before they know it, the day is gone, assignments are untouched, and their minds feel more exhausted than refreshed.
This is called doomscrolling. It's the habit of endlessly consuming content, often without realizing how much time, focus, and energy it takes away from us.
The truth is, not everything online deserves your attention.
Every minute spent comparing your life to someone else's highlight reel is a minute taken from building your own story. Every hour spent scrolling through negativity is an hour that could have been used to learn a skill, pursue a passion, rest meaningfully, or connect with the people who truly matter.
Your phone is a tool, not your master.
โฐTake breaks from social media.
๐Read a book.
๐ถโโ๏ธ๐ถโโ๏ธGo for a walk.
๐ฌHave a conversation.
๐Work on your dreams.
Sit quietly with your thoughts for a while.
The world is much bigger than what's happening on your screen.
Remember: the best moments of your life will not be found by scrolling down. They will be found by looking up.
So today, challenge yourself:
โ
Put your phone down for a while.
โ
Be present.
โ
Create more than you consume.
Your future deserves your attention more than your feed does.
