The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), in collaboration with the Tourism and Cultural Affairs Division of Kalibo@, is conducting a 2-Day Basic Life Support Training and Standard First Aid for personnel of tourism attractions and accommodation establishments on August 19–20, 2026.

The training equips tourism frontliners with essential skills to respond to emergencies, provide immediate assistance, and help ensure the safety and well-being of visitors and guests.

Day 2 of our Site Guiding Capacity-Building Program was filled with learning and practical skills! We started with a Tourism Overview led by Ms. Rhea Rose Meren, followed by a First Aid Orientation with the Kalibo MDRRMO—because knowing our destination also means being ready to care for our visitors.

We also officially began our Site Guiding Sessions with Resource Speaker Ms. Erlyn Alunan, as participants started learning how to bring Kalibo’s stories, culture, and heritage to life through engaging guiding techniques. ✨ Another day of learning, sharing, and becoming better storytellers of Vibrant Kalibo!
