The sun was out and the weather was perfect. Today’s play day was full of movement! ☀️💚

We are so grateful to Pastor Jacob and the Father’s Church Korean Ministry Team for the wonderful gift of adaptive toys they gave last August 5. Your generosity gave us more ways to play and made it even more fun for everyone. 🧸🤸🏻🛝

In celebration of the 52nd National Nutrition Month, the learners participated in a learning-filled activities on Friday, July 31, 2026. They also enjoyed a show-and-tell of their favorite fruits and vegetables, and expressed their creativity through finger painting. After painting fruit and vegetable illustrations, they cut them out and turned them into colorful paper crowns. These simple activities made learning about healthy eating fun while reinforcing the importance of choosing nutritious foods and developing healthy habits in line with the National Nutrition Month celebration. 👑🍎🌽

Wrapping up our 48th National Disability Rights Week by honoring the birthday of Lolo Apolinario Mabini and bringing our NDR Week celebration to a meaningful close. 💙🇵🇭

How blessed we are that Kalibo Pilot Elementary School proudly stands on Mabini Street and is home to the only monument of Apolinario Mabini in Aklan. It is also recognized as one of the oldest and one of the highest statues of Apolinario Mabini in the Philippines.

Through Sir Dennis’ historical talk, “Mga Inapo ni Mabini ro Taga Pilot,” we learned that he was known as the Dakilang Lumpo and remembered as the Utak ng Katipunan. Ang buhay niya ay isang patunay na ang kadakilaan ay hindi nasusukat sa pisikal na kakayahan, kundi sa talino na may pagmamahal sa bayan.

Last March 9, our SNED learners participated in the Editorial Cartooning Exhibit and Workshop held at the KPES DLRC. They practiced basic shading techniques and got creative by shading their teachers’ faces.
