"I highly encourage the students of Saint Gabriel College High School to join this Poetry Workshop because Poetry promotes literacy, builds community, and fosters emotional resilience. It encourages a person to express oneself creatively and can also be an instrument to advocate peace. Writing and reading poetry can be another creative library activity for students and teachers, even during distance learning. This webinar/workshop inspires participants to create their poems based on their personal experiences and musical influence".

School libraries are spaces where stories for inclusivity and peace can be promoted, advocated, and acted upon. School Librarians are conduits of this campaign and advocacy, hitting the UN's SGD goals # 4 and # 16 along the way. Last August 14, 2021, the Philippine Association of School Librarians Inc. collaborated with Regalo Touching Lives, Create Learning Paths, Mabalacat City Colleges, Real Innovations, USA, and the Sunday Peace Volunteers, Japan, to conduct a virtual tour of the Hiroshima Peace Park. The online event was a fitting opening to our collective journey towards peace building and restoration of the Self and the community.
This November, PASLI continues on the journey with C&E ALS as partners in the conduct of a poetry workshop centered on peace. This is open to high school, senior high school, college students, teachers, librarians, and interested professionals. Celebrate Library and Information Science Month with PASLI! Let's read, write and jam along through art, music, and poetry!

The greatest sign of success for a teacher is to be able to say,
"The children are now working as if I did not exist."

From face-to-face to online and modular.
From whiteboard to screen sharing.
From "get inside" to "join the meeting".
A lot of things have changed, but one thing is for sure, and that is we are eager to see you successful in the near future. And that's what makes this profession a fulfilling one.
Happy Teachers' Day to the hardworking SGC faculty members. Continue molding young minds and inspiring them to be the best version of themselves.
