Our faculty members gathered from May 25โ€“27 for a meaningful time of learning, collaboration, reflection, and professional growth as we continue building a stronger IJS learning community.

Guided by the commitment to adapt without losing our mission, innovate without losing our values, and grow without losing our identity, the In-Service Education and Training (INSET) serves as an opportunity for teachers to strengthen their knowledge, enhance their teaching practices, and prepare for the upcoming school year.

May this INSET inspire all faculty members to become more effective, compassionate, and future-ready educators in service of the learners and the community.

May 21โ€“22, 2026 โ€” Middle administrators of IJS gathered for a two-day administrative workshop to reflect, collaborate, and reimagine the future of IJS Education amidst the educational reform taking place in our country.

Inspired by the Chinese proverb: โ€œWhen the wind of change blows, some people build walls, others build windmills,โ€ the workshop challenged school leaders to move beyond survival thinking and embrace systems, innovation, and mission-driven leadership.

Thank you to all middle administrators and partners who contributed to this important journey of reflection, planning, and transformation.

Facilitated by the School Director-Principal, we continue to build not just programsโ€”but systems that help learners, teachers, and families thrive.

To strengthen the sense of community among students, Infant Jesus School conducted the Acquaintance Party 2026 with the theme โ€œGet To Know You: The Remixโ€ on May 22. The gathering welcomed incoming Grade 7, Grade 11, and transferee students for an exciting day filled with interaction, collaboration, and joyful activities.

The event began with new students marching in and being welcomed by the IJSians. They were then grouped into mixed teams where they participated in various games and team-building activities designed to promote friendship, cooperation, and school spirit. The students also shared lunch together through the potluck activity, which encouraged bonding, generosity, and meaningful conversations among classmates and new friends.

In the afternoon program, students continued to participate in exciting games and activities that strengthened friendship and teamwork. They also enjoyed the photo booth area and took part in fun photo opportunities with their fellow students.

The celebration concluded with laughter, cheers, and meaningful connections as the students officially became part of the IJS family.

To help students transition smoothly into junior and senior high school, Infant Jesus School held its Summer Bridge Program for incoming Grade 7 and Grade 11 students from May 11 to May 22, 2026.

This week, students focused on developing their basic computer literacy skills. They also participated in a laboratory tour and orientation sessions in the Science Laboratories to familiarize themselves with the school environment and facilities.

The program will also include lessons in Mathematics and English to strengthen studentsโ€™ foundational literacy and numeracy skills. Technology tools will be integrated into the learning activities to make lessons more interactive and engaging. Its primary aim is to bridge academic gaps and help students adjust more easily as they transition from elementary to secondary school and from junior high school to senior high school.
