🇵🇭 TEACHERS LEAD THE WAY: SETTING THE STANDARD THIS TERM 2

As we opened the first Monday of Term 2, our teachers took the lead in conducting the Flag Ceremony—showing our learners the proper way of carrying out this important school tradition.
The ceremony was led by:
🇵🇭 National Anthem — Sir Romel Gierza
🤝 Panatang Makabayan — Ma’am Ma. Cecilia Ilangos
🇵🇭 Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas — Ma’am Nona Lozada
🫡 Panunumpa ng mga Kawani ng Gobyerno — Sir Darren Romero
🎶 followed by the singing of the School Hymn
This new initiative of the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) allows our students to see their teachers lead by example and helps them visualize the proper, respectful, and orderly conduct of the Flag Ceremony.
Through this initiative, the SSLG hopes to:
✨ Elevate student awareness of the proper proceedings and conduct during the Flag Ceremony; and
✨ Mark the opening of every term with teacher participation, reinforcing the idea that leadership is best taught through example.
Today, our teachers did more than lead a ceremony. They modeled the standard we hope our learners will carry forward.
As we begin another term, may this simple tradition remind us that respect, discipline, and love of country are not merely spoken—they are demonstrated.

TODAY WE WALKED, WE PLANTED, WE REFLECTED. 🌱⛰️

And what a beautiful day it was!

This September 19, from 5:00 AM to 11:55 AM at Negros Nine Human Development Foundation, Inc., we came together for more than just an activity. We came together for purpose.

A heartfelt thank you to SSLG, PYAP, San Vicente Parish, and our dear Faculty, for organizing, guiding, and supporting this initiative. Your leadership and commitment made this day possible.

To every student, volunteer, and community member who joined us for Hiking, Tree Planting, and Sharing Reflection — thank you.
Thank you for waking up early.
Thank you for climbing the trail even when it was tough.
Thank you for getting your hands dirty planting trees.
Thank you for opening your hearts during our sharing.

Today reminded us that small actions create big impact.
We didn’t just hike to reach the top — we hiked to appreciate nature and the journey.
We didn’t just plant trees — we planted hope for cleaner air, greener mountains, and a better future.
We didn’t just share stories — we listened, learned, and grew closer as one community.

Because at the end of the day, taking care of our environment is also taking care of each other.

One step. One tree. One community.
This is not the end. This is just the beginning.
Let’s continue to serve, to protect, and to grow — together.

From September 5 to October 5, Tan-awan National High School Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) joins the celebration of National Teachers’ Month—a special time dedicated to honoring the teachers who give so much of themselves for their learners.

To our dear teachers, we may not always say it, but we see you. We appreciate the lessons, the reminders, the second chances, the encouragement, and even the “Class, quiet please!” that we sometimes hear more than once. 😅

This National Teachers’ Month, the SSLG invites every Tan-awanian to help us make our teachers feel that their hard work matters and that the lives they touch remember.

Because behind every learner who keeps moving forward is a teacher who once believed that they could.

🥬🍆 NUTRITION MONTH CELEBRATION 2026 | “Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan!” 🌱🍅

Healthy eating met creativity in the kitchen! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

On September 2, 2026, the morning at Tan-awan National High School was filled with colors, flavors, teamwork, and a little friendly competition as we celebrated Nutrition Month 2026 with the theme, “Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan!”

At the heart of the celebration was our Cooking Contest, where 2–3 student cooks from each color group—❤️ Red, 💚 Green, 💙 Blue, 💜 Violet, 💛 Yellow, and 🧡 Orange—were given one delicious challenge:

✨ Reimagine the Filipino classic, PINAKBET! ✨

And reimagine it, they did! 🍆🥬🌶️

With vegetables taking center stage, our young cooks transformed a familiar Filipino dish through their own creativity, teamwork, and presentation. Each group brought something different to the table, proving that nutritious food doesn't have to be boring—it can be colorful, creative, and proudly Filipino. 🇵🇭

But the activity was about more than what ended up on the plate.

Behind every chop, stir, taste, and presentation were lessons in proper nutrition, healthy food choices, teamwork, leadership, and unity—values that extend far beyond the kitchen. 💚

The Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) extends its appreciation to the TLE Club teachers and officers for organizing and facilitating the activity, and to all our student cooks who proudly represented their respective color groups.

To everyone who participated and supported the celebration, thank you for making our Nutrition Month meaningful, educational, and—quite literally—flavorful! 😋

Because when we care for what we eat and the environment that provides it, we also care for ourselves and our future. 🌱💚

🎉🫧 **ACQUAINTANCE PARTY 2026 | New Faces, New Friends, One Tan-awan!** 🫧🎉

September 2 was an afternoon well spent! 💛💚

From familiar faces to new friendships, the students, faculty, and staff of Tan-awan National High School came together for our Acquaintance Party 2026—an afternoon filled with laughter, music, dancing, and, of course, FOAM! 🫧🥳

More than just a party, the celebration gave our learners a chance to connect, build friendships, and simply enjoy being part of one school community. Because sometimes, the best school memories are made outside the four walls of the classroom. ✨

Of course, an afternoon this memorable would not have been possible without the people who generously extended their support.
