On August 15, 2026, the NSTP-ROTC participated in a Leadership Talk with the theme โForming KCCians as Servant Leaders of Peace, Justice and the Care of Our Common House.โ The activity was held at the St. Columban Arts Center of Kabankalan Catholic College, Inc. The program featured the opening remarks of Ms. Angel Grace M. Selvido, NSTP-CWTS Coordinator, followed by the introduction of the speaker by Ms. Kyla Jade D. Gonzales, NSTP-CWTS Instructor. The distinguished speaker, Mr. Gilbert A. Intervalo, Jr., shared valuable insights on leadership, humility, discipline, service, and the importance of becoming a servant leader. The activity was attended by KCC student leaders from various clubs and organizations, ROTC cadets and CWTS Students.
During his discussion, Mr. Intervalo emphasized that true leadership is rooted in listening, humility, and service. He reminded the participants that a leader must listen, a leader must have humility, and a leader is one who serves the people rather than being served. For the ROTC cadets, these lessons highlighted the importance of leading by example, respecting others, and putting the needs of the community before personal interests. His message also encouraged the cadets to understand that leadership is not simply about holding a position or giving commands, but about having the character and willingness to serve others.

AGUS, MAT, NSTP Director, CPT JOSE S ROQUE (OS) PA, NSTP-KCC ROTC Unit Commandant, 1LT NATHANIEL JAN G CELIZ PA (RES), Assistant Commandant, Tsg Elreih Eric C Aromin (Inf) PA, Admin NCO, Sgt Elviro E Apawan Jr PA (Res), ROTC Coordinator, and our dedicated ROTC personnel, Tsg Dionisio S Piduhan PA (Res), Sgt Rene P Escalona (MI) Ret PA, Sgt Mannel F Correjado PA (Res), Sgt Agustin T Berbastillas PA (Res), and Sgt Christine T Apawan PA (Res), together with our Graduate Military Assistants (GMA), for their unwavering support, guidance, and commitment to the successful conduct of the activity.
The Leadership Talk served as a meaningful learning experience for the ROTC cadets as they reflected on their responsibilities as future leaders and servants of the community. The lessons gained from the activity encouraged them to practice discipline, humility, compassion, and selfless service not only during ROTC training but also in their daily lives. Through the theme of forming servant leaders of peace, justice, and care for our common house, the cadets are inspired to become responsible leaders who lead by example, serve with sincerity, and contribute positively to their community and nation.
