| Red Cross Team In Action! �

Today, Philippine Red Cross Negros Occidental–Bacolod City Chapter, As of July 19, 2025, our teams were actively deployed in La Castellana and Kabankalan City to support evacuation centers and assist affected families.

In La Castellana, we set up First Aid Stations, Welfare Desks, and Child-Friendly Spaces, conducted vital sign monitoring, performed wound care, and distributed thousands of liters of potable and domestic water. Our volunteers also assisted in the food pack distribution and provided psychosocial support through CFS activities.

Meanwhile in PRC Kabankalan Branch, our team established First Aid Station presence and assisted evacuees during the relief operations. We also coordinated with local authorities for the safe return of internally displaced persons to their homes.

We thank our committed volunteers, staff, and partner agencies for standing strong in the face of disaster — truly living the Red Cross commitment to always be first, always ready, and always there.

A Successful National CPR Day at CityMall Kabankalan! 🫀🙌
Today, more Kabankalanons are empowered with the life-saving skill of CPR—a critical action that can make the difference between life and death during emergencies. 💓

Thanks to the Philippine Red Cross – Kabankalan City Branch, in partnership with CityMall Kabankalan and the Kabankalan City DRRM, participants learned how to properly respond to cardiac arrest through hands-only CPR and basic emergency response.

CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) helps keep blood flowing to the brain and vital organs until professional help arrives. 💡
Now, more citizens are prepared to step up and save lives!

Daghang salamat sa tanan nga nagbulig kag nag-upod! Together, we are building a CPR-Ready Philippines! 🇵🇭❤️💙

On February 21,2025 Kabankalan National High School Red Cross Youth Council held a clean-up drive for the Beat the Dengue campaign at Kabankalan National High School campus. A huge thanks to our hardworking volunteers with the support of student interns, Ms. Abegail Flor of KCC and Ms. Jelian Grace Pavillar of CPSU. Together, we made a difference!

Unauthorized Use of the Red Cross Emblem and/or the Philippine Red Cross Logo

It has come to our attention that unscrupulous individuals in their private vehicles, bearing improvised decals of the Red Cross emblem and/or Philippine Red Cross logo, as well as ambulances displaying unauthorized logos, are misusing these protected symbols.

The Red Cross emblem, as is the Red Crescent and the Red Crystal, is a symbol of protection, and its use is reserved only to the Philippine Red Cross, the organic and attached medical service and religious personnel of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, and organizations belonging to the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.

Under Republic Act No. 10530, or The Red Cross and Other Emblems Act of 2013, the willful and indiscriminate use of the Red Cross emblem or the indicative logo of the Philippine Red Cross “to deceive the general public irrespective of its purpose” is punishable by:

Arresto mayor (imprisonment).
Fine of not less than Fifty Thousand Pesos (₱50,000.00), or both, at the discretion of the court for each violation.
For Ambulances
Ambulances must use the blue "Star of Life" emblem, which is internationally recognized for emergency medical services (EMS). Unauthorized use of the Red Cross emblem or Philippine Red Cross logo on ambulances is strictly prohibited unless specifically authorized.

Other Prohibited Uses
The Red Cross emblem must not be used in:

First aid stations.
Hospital logos.
Safety-first signage.
Veterinary clinics or general clinics.
Brands, establishments, or any unauthorized capacity.
We are therefore reminding the public to refrain from deliberately misusing the Red Cross emblem and/or the PRC logo in any form. Help us protect the sanctity of these humanitarian symbols.
