October 15 is commemorated as World Handwashing Day to raise global awareness on the importance of handwashing with soap and to foster it as a habit as our first line of defense against virus and illness for us to ensure better health outcomes.
Students are encouraged through this activity to make handwashing with soap a habit.

NATIONAL TEACHERS' MONTH CELEBRATION 2020
POEM WRITING Contest
Theme: "Gurong Filipino para sa Batang Filipino"
" Poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings: it takes its origin from emotion recollected in tranquility."

MECHANICS & CRITERIA:
1.The contest is for the bonafide Salong NHS students.
2. There will be at least one (1) participant/ entry per grade level.
3. Poems may be written in English or Filipino.
4. There is no word limit in each line and it should be a minimum of 4 stanzas and a maximum of 8 stanzas.
5. Poems must have a title and thought in consonance with the theme.
6. Entries should be submitted via email or messenger.
7. Criteria for Judging
Relevance to the theme - 50%
Style, Creativity & Originality - 30%
Organization & Clarity of language - 10%
Harmony of presentation - 10%
8. Judging of the entries will be 60% from actual judging & 30% from online votes.
9. Judging of entries will be on Oct. 5, 2020.
