Building a Safer, Respectful, and Responsible School Community. 💜

On July 30, 2026 (Thursday), the Guidance and Counseling Office successfully facilitated an Anti-Bullying and Cyber Safety Symposium for our Junior High School students at the Junior High School Campus.

The symposium served as a meaningful platform to educate and empower students on the importance of fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment. Engaging discussions centered on anti-bullying, cyber safety and responsible digital citizenship, school vandalism, and public display of affection (PDA). These topics emphasized the values of respect, accountability, self-discipline, and responsible decision-making both in school and in the digital world.

Through interactive discussions and practical guidance, students were encouraged to become responsible digital citizens, stand against bullying, protect themselves and others online, respect school property, and demonstrate proper conduct that reflects the school's core values. The symposium also reinforced the importance of empathy, positive relationships, and responsible behavior in building a supportive school community.

The Guidance and Counseling Office extends its heartfelt appreciation to our guest speaker, Mrs. Roda R. Magbanua, RGC, for sharing her expertise and inspiring our students with valuable insights on promoting a safe, respectful, and responsible school environment.

Together, let us continue to stand against bullying, promote cyber safety, protect our school, and cultivate a culture of kindness, respect, responsibility, and compassion—where every learner feels safe, valued, and empowered to thrive. 💜

The final batch is in, and our Student Orientation for Academic Year 2026–2027 has officially come to a close.

On July 20, 2026, our BS Civil Engineering, BS Electrical Engineering, and BS Mechanical Engineering students completed the final session of this year’s orientation. Through this orientation, they were introduced to the different offices, services, policies, and support systems that will guide them throughout their time at Southland.

As we close this year’s Student Orientation, we look back on the many new faces, stories, and dreams that became part of this beginning. From the first batch until the final session, we are grateful for the opportunity to welcome our freshmen and transferees and help them become familiar with the Southland community.

May the friendships formed, lessons learned, and connections built during this experience become part of the foundation as you create your own story as Southlanders. May you find opportunities that inspire you, people who support you, and experiences that help you discover your strengths and purpose.

Thank you for allowing us to be part of your first steps. As you begin this new chapter, may you continue to grow, explore, and create meaningful memories that you will carry with you throughout your college years.

Once again, welcome to Southland College, freshmen and transferees! Your story has begun, and we are excited to witness the difference you will make along the way.

From caring for lives to designing spaces and creating innovative technologies, yesterday's orientation brought together students with different passions but one shared goal—to begin their college journey prepared and inspired. 💜

On July 15, 2026, our BS Nursing and BS Midwifery students participated in the morning session of the Student Orientation Program for Academic Year 2026–2027, followed by our BS Information Technology (BSIT) and BS Architecture students in the afternoon.

Throughout the program, students were introduced to the people, offices, and essential services that will support them throughout their years at Southland College. More importantly, they were given a glimpse of the values, opportunities, and experiences that await them as members of the Southland community.

To our freshmen and transferees, may your years at Southland College be filled with learning, growth, and unforgettable experiences. We are excited to witness the journey that lies ahead for each of you. 💜

Every beginning carries a story waiting to unfold. 💜

The Student Orientation Program for Academic Year 2026–2027 marked the first chapter of a new journey for our incoming Southland College students. Filled with excitement, hope, nervous smiles, and dreams, our newest Southlanders took their first steps toward a future they are about to create.

On July 13, 2026, we warmly welcomed our BS Accountancy, BSBA Major in Marketing Management, BSBA Major in Financial Management, and BS Hospitality Management students. On July 14, 2026, we opened our doors to our BS Tourism Management, BS Radiologic Technology, and BSEd students, embracing them as valued members of the Southland family.

Throughout the orientation, students were introduced to the dedicated school executives and the different offices that will support them throughout their college life—from Administration and Finance, Admission and Registrar, Library, Sports and Cultural Affairs, Scholarships, Medical and Dental Services, Guidance and Counseling, to School Policies and Discipline. More than learning about offices and services, they discovered that they are entering a community that is committed to helping them succeed, grow, and become the best version of themselves.

Every seat filled in the audio visual hall represented a dream. Every question asked reflected courage. Every smile exchanged marked the beginning of friendships, memories, and experiences that will last a lifetime.

As you begin this new chapter, may you never lose the passion that brought you here. May you find strength in every challenge, wisdom in every lesson, and purpose in every step you take. May every experience you encounter become a stepping stone toward a future filled with hope, purpose, and a heart that inspires and serves others.

Welcome to Southland College, freshmen and transferees! Your story starts here, and we are honored to be part of your journey. 💜
