The SECSA Orientation 2026 for the BS Electrical Engineering program was successfully held on July 22 at the Audio-Visual Hall, serving as the program's general assembly for the start of the new academic year.
During the orientation, students were introduced to the department's academic policies, course requirements, upcoming activities, the student government, and the institution's new learning system. They also learned more about the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers (IIEE) and the benefits of becoming a member.
The activity was graced by our dean, Engr. Nolan Fernandez, who shared valuable insights and words of encouragement to help prepare students for the year ahead. Also present were our program head, Engr. Charess Gendran, and faculty member, Engr. Jyll Mae Gellecanao, who reminded students of their responsibilities and expectations as future engineers.
More than just an orientation, the event also served as an opportunity to introduce the newly elected officers for the academic year and warmly welcome both new and returning students to the community.
