The University Search and Rescue Team served as standby medical support during the LandBank Agrisenso Plus | ASCEND Program and the Uswag MSME Fair 2026, held on, June 4, 2026, at the University of Southern Mindanao, Kabacan, North Cotabato.

As participants, exhibitors, guests, and stakeholders gathered for these programs that promote agricultural development, entrepreneurship, and inclusive economic growth, USART members remained on duty to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone throughout the event. Strategically deployed in key areas, the team stayed prepared to provide immediate medical assistance and emergency response whenever needed.

More than being present during activities, USART continues to embody its commitment to service by helping create a safe environment where learning, collaboration, and community engagement can thrive. Through vigilance, preparedness, and teamwork, the organization remains ready to respond in support of every successful university undertaking.

Last Friday, the University Search and Rescue Team successfully conducted the final evaluation and interview for aspiring applicants, marking a significant step in the selection process.

Applicants underwent thorough assessment and panel interviews aimed at evaluating their skills, readiness, discipline, and commitment to service. The activity ensured that only individuals who demonstrate dedication, resilience, and the willingness to serve under pressure will proceed to the next stage of training and deployment.

USART extends its appreciation to all applicants for their effort, confidence, and enthusiasm throughout the process. Your willingness to serve and be part of the team is already a commendable step toward making a difference.

The University Search and Rescue Team (USART) proudly took part in the 27th Gawad Parangal held on May 21, 2026, at the USM Auditorium, carrying yet another milestone as the organization was formally recognized and accredited as an official campus organization for Academic Year 2025–2026.

Representing the organization during the ceremony were 𝐒𝐢𝐫 𝐑𝐚𝐟𝐚𝐞𝐥 𝐏. 𝐀𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐚, 𝐑𝐍, 𝐌𝐀𝐍, USART Adviser, and 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐆. 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲, USART member, in celebration of the team’s continued commitment to service, leadership, and community involvement within the University of Southern Mindanao.

Adding to this proud moment, 𝐒𝐢𝐫 𝐑𝐚𝐟𝐚𝐞𝐥 𝐏. 𝐀𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐚, 𝐑𝐍, 𝐌𝐀𝐍 and 𝐒𝐆𝐓 𝐇𝐞𝐧𝐳𝐭𝐞𝐢𝐧 𝐂 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐳 (𝐑𝐄𝐒) 𝐏𝐀, advisers of USART, were also recognized during the Gawad Parangal, honoring their unwavering guidance, dedication, and support in shaping the organization and mentoring student volunteers.

As Unilympics 2026 reaches its third and final day, the University Search and Rescue Team (USART) continues to stand ready and on duty, ensuring medical preparedness and safety throughout the remaining games and the Closing Program held today, May 20, 2026, at the USM Auditorium.

From the opening day to the final whistle, USART members remained committed to serving athletes, delegates, and spectators, staying alert and prepared to respond whenever needed. Their dedication helped maintain a safe and secure environment, allowing the university community to fully embrace the spirit of competition, camaraderie, and school pride.

As the curtains close on this year’s Unilympics, USART extends its congratulations to all athletes, organizers, and participating colleges for making Unilympics 2026 a celebration of resilience, teamwork, and excellence.
