PASUNDAYAG: Multilinggwal Seminar-Workshop sa Pagsulat ng Maikling Kuwento at Tula

Bilang pakikiisa sa pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Panitikan 2026, matagumpay na isinigawa ng University of Southern Mindanao ang PASUNDAYAG: Isang Multilinggwal na Seminar-Workshop sa Pagsulat ng Maikling Kuwento at Tula, na isinagawa kanina, Abril 29, 2026, sa USM-ESO Conference Room

Sa panguguna ng Sentro ng Wika at Kultura (SWK), kasama ang Gender and Development (GAD) Office, Extension Services Office (ESO), Kundo E. Pahm Learning Resource Center (KEPLRC), at University Student Government, ang workshop na ito ay nagsilbing tulay upang ipagdiwang ang ganda ng panitikang Filipino, at lalo pang linangin ang kaalaman sa pagsulat ng tula at maikling kwento.

Kasabay ang temang “Bekët Panitikan: Para sa Katwiran at Kalikasan,” tampok bilang mga panauhing tagapagsalita sina Dr. Lita A. Bacalia, mula sa Cebu Normal University, at Dr. Ricardo Ma. Duran Nolasco, mula sa University of the Philippines Diliman.

Ang seminar na ito ay bahagi ng pagpapahalaga ng unibersidad sa kultura at wika sa pamamagitan ng iba’t ibang anyo ng panitikan.

The USM-USG-COMELEC formally invites all qualified candidates to attend the Orientation of Candidates for Halalan 2026, which will be held on April 20, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the USG Building.

This orientation aims to provide essential guidelines, procedures, and expectations to ensure a fair, orderly, and transparent electoral process.

A new legacy of kings has risen!

After a tough battle of wits and tactics, the kings are finally crowned as the final battle for the Honor of Kings: Commercial Clash 2026 has finally concluded, last March 6, 2025, at the USM Commercial Building.

After thrilling matches and standout performances, here are the champions that emerged to reign supreme:

🥈 2nd Place – Gogoaldrive
🥉 3rd Place – Crowley

Thank you to everyone who participated in this event. Together with the support of our partner organizations; Mineski Global, University Esports Community, R&J Network, Data Solutions, and Honor of Kings, we made this event a huge success.

Truly, it was a spectacular experience that brought our esports community closer together.

Women’s Month Purple Fun Run

The University of Southern Mindanao Gender and Development Office, in partnership with the University Student Government, successfully conducted the Women’s Month Purple Fun Run on March 6 at 4:30 AM as part of the celebration of Women’s Month. Students, faculty, and staff gathered early in the morning wearing violet tops, symbolizing solidarity and support for women’s empowerment, while participating in the activity that promoted unity and wellness within the university community.

Carrying the theme “Lead like the Babaylans, Filipinas!”, the fun run highlighted the strength, leadership, and vital role of women in society. The event encouraged participants to come together in collective action while honoring the spirit of Women’s Month through camaraderie, empowerment, and shared advocacy.
