TRAINING-WORKSHOP ON DATA ANALYSIS AND VISUALIZATION USING R

From Qualitative to Quantitative—let’s continue building our research skills!

The USM Satellite Socio-Economic Research and Data Analytics Center (SERDAC) invites researchers, faculty members, research staff, graduate students, and professionals to apply for the Training-Workshop on Data Analysis and Visualization Using R on October 14–16, 2026, at CBDEM, University of Southern Mindanao, Kabacan, Cotabato.

This three-day, hands-on workshop will help participants analyze quantitative data and turn their findings into clear, meaningful visualizations using R.

👥WHO SHOULD APPLY?

This workshop is intended for:
✓ Faculty researchers
✓ Research and project staff
✓ Graduate students working on a thesis or dissertation
✓ Professionals who use quantitative data in their work

💻 TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

Accepted participants should bring a laptop and be ready to take part in the hands-on exercises throughout the three-day workshop. Instructions on the software needed will be sent with the acceptance notice.

TRAINING-WORKSHOP ON QUALITATIVE DATA ANALYSIS USING MAXQDA

The USM Satellite Socio-Economic Research and Data Analytics Center (SERDAC) invites researchers, faculty members, research staff, graduate students, and professionals to apply for the Training-Workshop on Qualitative Data Analysis Using MAXQDA on September 17–18, 2026 at the USM Skyroom, Administration Building, University of Southern Mindanao.

This two-day intensive, hands-on training-workshop is designed to strengthen participants’ competencies in organizing, coding, analyzing, interpreting, and visualizing qualitative data using MAXQDA.

👥 WHO SHOULD APPLY?

The training-workshop is intended for:
✓ Faculty researchers
✓ Research and project staff
✓ Graduate students conducting thesis or dissertation research
✓ Professionals involved in qualitative or mixed-methods research
Applicants should preferably have basic knowledge of qualitative research and be currently involved in, or preparing to undertake, a qualitative or mixed-methods study.

💻 TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

Accepted participants must:
✓ Bring their own laptop capable of running MAXQDA
✓ Have MAXQDA installed prior to the training
✓ Participate in the hands-on exercises and workshop activities
✓ Attend the entire two-day training-workshop

𝐔𝐒𝐌 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬

The University of Southern Mindanao Graduate School conducted its orientation program for incoming graduate students on August 15, 2026, at the Graduate School Hall. The activity familiarized the students with the University’s academic policies, support services, research expectations, and other essential guidelines for graduate education.

The program also marked the beginning of a new chapter under the leadership of the new Graduate School Dean,𝗗𝗿. 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽 𝗟𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗣. 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗷𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻, who welcomed the students and encouraged them to pursue their studies with commitment, integrity, and academic excellence. The University President, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗝𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗱 𝗟. 𝗣𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹 and the Vice President for Academic Affairs,𝗗𝗿. 𝗟𝗲𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗖. 𝗧𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗴, likewise delivered inspiring messages, urging the students to embrace their graduate journey with perseverance, purpose, and a commitment to serving society.
