This day is definitely the worst morning that has happened to the whole USM-JMES family. We're broken in tears and deeply saddened as we lost one of our wings, our friend, and our President, JAMES RYAN N. PEPINO. You will always be remembered for your undying hard work, sacrifices, and efforts for the well-being of our society. Thank you for the half-semester you've spent with us! We will always remember you and treasure all the memories we have of our after-class meetings and early morning preparations, even in our hectic schedule. We worked and laughed together.

ℬℯ𝓁𝒾ℯ𝓋ℯ 𝓎ℴ𝓊 𝒸𝒶𝓃 𝓂𝒶𝓀ℯ 𝒾𝓉!!

As our midterm examinations are fast approaching, our greatest concern is to pass the examination. "PAG SISIKAPAN KO TO!", and "PAPASA AKO, I CLAIM IT!" are just some of the most powerful phrases we can utter to ourselves. October 5-11 is the schedule for our midterm examination. What we can do better on our exam is if we believe and determine that we can do it no matter how tired or pressured we feel, if you have a strong desire in your heart that you can make it, you will make it! What we think affected our actions and which our action drives us to the result.

But if you see it positively, it will also respond that way. But somehow the more we see how everyone in our circle seems like doing great. We also belittle ourselves and doubt our capabilities. Remember that you may not acknowledge it, but you have passed a lot of examinations from the past years that made you there right now and that is the greatest evidence that you are capable too like anyone in your circle. And if you did it before, you can also make it now and next. Worries, pressure, and self-doubt somehow limit you in what you can possibly do.

But always remember those people that are there for you even in the simplest way, the one who cooks your breakfast, the one who works hard for you, the one who encourages you, the one who misses you but you are not there because your investment for your future and lastly the one who believes in you.
You are halfway there! "Kaya mo yan!" You may be tired from studying and reading your notes but everything will be worth it in their time. You are doing great that's why you're there to fight for more great!

Good luck everyone! Just pray and have faith that you can pass, stand firm, and believe you can make it.

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐌𝐢𝐝𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦 𝐄𝐱𝐚𝐦𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐞 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲?

"Malapit na ang exam, Kaya ko to!", "Bawi nalang ta next life" and "Laban lang!"
These are the common phrases we often hear after and before taking the exam. Midterm exams play a huge role in every student's final marks. Since each semester is divided into two exams which are the midterm and the final examination. An exam is a great way to measure the understanding of every student in their course. Before and after taking the midterm exam, we give numerous motivation ourselves such as "Kaya ko to!" and "Laban lang!".

But after the midterm exam, we often hear phrases such as "Babawi lang ako sa finals", "Grades don't define you" and "At least I did my best". Most of us students can relate to the following phrases, and maybe these are also words you used to say to yourself from the past exams you have already taken. "Every action you take is a vote for the type of person you wish to become" -James Clear from the book Atomic Habits. Therefore, if you want to get high marks and passed the exam you need to take action and do your best for the result of it. Every student is coveting and wishes to pass the exam but there are some and few who get high marks and passed it. They work hard for it and they change their system to come up with a good result. Most of the time, we already know what to do to pass the exam but we did not put it into action and we indeed up cramming before the day of the examination.
"If you keep casting the same votes you've always cast, you always get the same results you always had"-James Clear.

It is your choice what vote you will cast for yourself. Regret is inevitable but always chose the lesser one. If you will remain with your old habit that is your conscious decision.

Good luck everyone! Kaya natin to! Don't forget to pray, relax, concentrate and trust yourself. You are more than capable than you think!

Each section prepares their grandest boodle table from College of Education (CED) to USM landmark. It is the goal of the event to acknowledge everyone as well as their thanksgiving to the living God, since "Kanduli" means to offer or to give thanks to the Almighty. Indeed, it was a successful event where students enjoy their lunch while socializing with others, and shares memorable experience with them. Not just the food, but the overall theme of it has made sense to each and everyone's heart.

It's been a year since the virtual celebration of the USM Kaliline Festival.
Finally! USMians can now experience and celebrate face-to-face. The Kaliline festival is celebrated along with the 68th Foundation Anniversary of the University with a theme of "Innovative USM@68: Celebrating Internationalization Initiatives."
Together, we celebrate and appreciate different cultures and the beauty of the arts. The said event started at 8:30 am on September 27, 2022. During the opening program, the selected students came from different departments to dance for the opening salvo. Students dressed that represent the personality and uniqueness of every individual. competitions such as quiz bowl, essay writing, storytelling, digital poster making, artistic photography, hip-hop, and many more. It is the hope of everyone to enjoy and learn something from the events, to appreciate the beauty and uniqueness of different cultures, and to hone every student's skills in the arts.
