On July 30, 2026, the USM Horticulture Society successfully conducted its election of officers, marking the beginning of a new chapter of leadership for the organization. The activity gave members the opportunity to choose student leaders who will guide the society in carrying out its goals and activities for the academic year.

Following the election, the newly elected officers immediately held their first meeting to discuss important matters for the organization. One of the main topics was the preparation for the upcoming College of Agriculture Week, where the society is expected to take part in different activities and events. The officers also talked about future projects that aim to strengthen the organization and provide meaningful opportunities for its members.

The meeting reflected the officers' commitment to teamwork, responsibility, and service. With a shared vision and fresh ideas, the USM Horticulture Society looks forward to a productive year filled with activities that promote leadership, cooperation, and a passion for horticulture.

The Horticulture Society participated in the joint anniversary celebration of USMARDCโ€™s 50th and PICRIโ€™s 40th anniversaries, held at the USMARDC in Kabacan, Cotabato.

In line with the eventโ€™s theme, โ€œCultivating Innovations, Growing Resilient Communities,โ€ the society showcased its student-developed products, including Abaca Wine, Hortella, Chili Garlic Sauce, and Moringa Cookies, during the Product Innovation Showcase. These products reflected the studentsโ€™ creativity, technical capability, and commitment to sustainable and value-added horticultural innovations.

The society expressed its appreciation to the event organizers for the opportunity to contribute to this milestone celebration and conveyed its enthusiasm for future collaborations.

Commendations are extended to the participants of the Horticulture Society for their dedication and effort in making the event a success.
