The Dr. Emilio B. Espinosa Sr. Memorial State College of Agriculture and Technology (DEBESMSCAT) visited the University of Camarines Norte – College of Trades and Technology today, August 19, 2026, for a benchmarking activity focused on the BINDTECH Curriculum, with specializations in Computer, Electrical, Electronics, and Automotive Technology.

The delegation is headed by the Deans of the College of Engineering and the College of Industrial Technology, Assoc Prof. ARNOLD MACAG, and Associate Professor Elmo C. Rapsing Jr.

The visit aims to promote the exchange of best practices and strengthen collaboration in technical and technology related programs.

We also extend our appreciation to the Punong Barangay of North Poblacion, 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐝 𝐃. 𝐑𝐞𝐲𝐞𝐬 for the continued support and cooperation in our efforts toward proper waste management, cleanliness, and a safer environment for our students and the community.

Their academic journey officially began with a meeting with the Dean of Food, Agriculture and Natural Resources (FFANR) on August 3, 2026, followed by the Institute wide program orientation on August 4, 2026. Online classes will commence on August 11, 2026, while the face-to-face classes will be held from November 8 to December 4, 2026, at AIT in Pathumthani, Thailand.

To officially welcome our students to the Academic Year 2026–2027, our Campus Director, Lovewiserlyn O. De La Cruz, as the assigned Officer of the Day, prepared a simple welcoming gift as early as 5:55 in the morning. Students, faculty members, and non-teaching personnel were also given a pen, a simple token symbolizing a new beginning, fresh motivation, and the opportunity to WRITE another meaningful chapter in their academic journey.

May this small gift serve as a reminder to start the year with purpose, determination, and excellence. ✨🖊️

𝐅𝐋𝐀𝐆 𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐂𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐘

The University of Camarines Norte – College of Trades and Technology officially commenced the Academic Year 2026–2027 with a meaningful Flag Raising Ceremony facilitated by the Dean's Office under the leadership of 𝐃𝐫. 𝐉𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐇. 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐨, College Dean. Following the ceremony, Dr. Baldemoro formally introduced the College's faculty members, presenting each according to the subjects they handle and their respective designations to help students become familiar with their instructors. Likewise, the Campus Director, 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐲𝐧 𝐎. 𝐃𝐞 𝐋𝐚 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐳 introduced the dedicated non-teaching personnel, highlighting their respective offices, roles, and responsibilities in providing essential support services to the college community.

The gathering also served as an avenue for important institutional updates and announcements. Members of the college community were informed of the upcoming ISO Audit, presented research in international and national forums, recent faculty achievements, and other significant academic and administrative activities for the semester. In addition, the newly elected Student Council officers were formally presented, recognizing their commitment to serving as partners of the administration in promoting student leadership, collaboration, and excellence throughout the academic year.

To warmly welcome everyone to the new academic year, Dr. Jerome H. Baldemoro and Campus Director Lovewiserlyn O. De La Cruz invited everyone to enjoy a simple breakfast of pancit, pandesal, and tasty bread, giving students, faculty, and staff an opportunity to start the semester together in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
