Dibuluan National High School successfully hosted the Regional Monitoring and Technical Assistance on the School Governance Council (SGC) Functionality, led by the Regional Monitoring Team composed of Ma'am Marivic Somejo, Education Program Supervisor; Sir Carlos Bergonia, Education Program Supervisor; and Sir Emmanuel Roman Monterubio of the Schools Division Office of Isabela.
The activity was participated in by the school's SGC members headed by Dr. Angelic P. De Vera, Principal IV; newly elected SGC Co-Chairperson Sir Jessel M. Gapusan; Sir Boyet Dela Cruz, SPTA President; newly elected SGC Secretary Sir Ireneo Adriano; outgoing SGC Chairperson Ma'am Judy D. Juan; and Ma'am Heidi T. Lamug, Head Teacher III. Representatives from San Agustin District, including Dorganda High School led by Sir Clifford E. Gerardo, School Head, and Southeastern Region High School, also joined the activity.
During the technical assistance, Ma'am Somejo and Sir Bergonia highlighted the key indicators of a functional School Governance Council, emphasizing active stakeholder participation, consultative decision-making, regular council meetings, alignment of school programs and initiatives, effective coordination among school committees, transparency, and a responsive feedback mechanism that supports continuous school improvement. The activity further strengthened the commitment of participating schools to uphold shared governance and meaningful stakeholder engagement in delivering quality education.
