Jomalig Central Elementary School successfully conducted a School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) Session on August 20, 2026, at 3:30 PM, anchored on the theme โBridging Data and Practice: Conducting Evidence-Based Analysis for Action Planning.โ
The session was facilitated by Maโam Jane Jasmin M. Galicia, Head Teacher I and School Head of Jomalig Central Elementary School, who guided the participants in transforming assessment evidence into appropriate instructional actions and meaningful intervention plans.
In addition, the activity was conducted in reference to DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2026, and aimed to strengthen the schoolโs use of assessment data as a basis for responsive instruction, targeted interventions, and informed action planning.
The session focused on the systematic analysis of baseline assessment results, particularly the Comprehensive Rapid Literacy Assessment (CRLA), Philippine Informal Reading Inventory (Phil-IRI), and Rapid Mathematics Assessment (RMA). Through collaborative data analysis, teachers identified specific learning gaps, learner proficiency levels, and priority areas requiring targeted support across grade levels.
Participants also collaboratively developed evidence-based reading and mathematics intervention strategies responsive to the identified learning needs of learners. Discussions further emphasized the formulation of a concrete and actionable School/Grade-Level Action Plan, supported by specific monitoring metrics to track learner progress and determine the effectiveness of interventions throughout the school year.
The activity was attended by the Key Stage 1 Teachers, Key Stage 2 Teachers, and ALS Teacher of Jomalig Central Elementary School, who actively participated in the collaborative analysis, professional discussions, and planning activities.
This SLAC session reflects JCESโs continuing commitment to data-driven decision-making, evidence-based teaching practices, collaborative professional learning, and continuous school improvement. By bridging data and practice, the school strengthens its capacity to respond to learnersโ needs and ensure that every intervention is purposeful, measurable, and geared toward improved learning outcomes.
From assessment data to meaningful actionโbridging evidence and practice for every learner. ๐๐๐ฑ
