Please be informed that September 16, 17, and 18, 2026 (Wednesday–Friday) are declared PUBLIC HOLIDAYS throughout the Province of Sulu in celebration of the 636th BANGSA SUG DAY.

This is pursuant to the Memorandum issued by the Office of the Governor of the Province of Sulu, pursuant to Provincial Ordinance No. 01, Series of 1993.

📌 September 16, 2026 – Wednesday
📌 September 17, 2026 – Thursday
📌 September 18, 2026 – Friday

Accordingly, classes and regular school activities shall be suspended during these dates. All teaching and non-teaching personnel, as well as learners, are advised to observe the declared public holidays.

Regular classes and school operations shall resume on Monday, September 21, 2026.

Alhamdulillah! 🤲

Dandan Ututalum Elementary School Family, headed by Ma’am Ruwalza Albar Aggil-Iserail, is deeply grateful to our ever-supportive Punong Barangay, Hon. Almaida Abdulhamid Undug Mai Abdulhamid Undug for personally extending her generosity to our school.

Yesterday,during the 1st day of our In-Service Training, we had the privilege of personally receiving the ₱12,000 honorarium intended for our dedicated volunteer teachers and one of our hardworking security personnel.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much, Madam Mai, for your continued support, generosity, and genuine concern for our teachers, our learners, and the entire Dandan Ututalum community. Your support means more than just financial assistance. It is a source of encouragement and motivation for us to continue serving our learners with dedication and compassion.

You are truly an inspiration to many and an epitome of a good and compassionate leader. Your generosity reminds us that when leaders, teachers, and the community work hand in hand, we can create a better future for our children.

Today, we celebrate you—our teachers. We see your daily sacrifices: the early mornings, the countless lessons prepared, the papers checked after a long day, the challenges quietly faced, and the extra time you give simply to make sure our learners are not left behind.

We may not always say it, but we see you, we appreciate you, and we are grateful for you. Your patience, dedication, and love for our learners make Dandan Ututalum ES more than a school—it makes us a family. ❤️

Choosing duty with a caring heart👩‍🏫👨‍🏫

As the earthquakes shook our communities today, teachers headed by Roel S. Aliasgal, Ed.D stood strong for our learners. Though our hearts were with our loved ones, our duty called us to protect the children entrusted to our care.

Indeed, teaching is more than a profession. It is a commitment to serve, even in the most challenging moments.
