𝗦𝗨𝗟𝗨 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗬—𝗖𝗦𝗚 𝗝𝗢𝗜𝗡𝗦 𝗦𝗔𝗖𝗘𝗗𝗔 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗛 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗗 𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗦𝗨𝗠𝗠𝗘𝗥 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗣 𝗖𝗔𝗠𝗣 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

The Sulu State University—Central Student Government (SSU-CSG), represented by Al-Mubarak A. Dandaih and Nur-Mina P. Muhajiran, together with their chaperone Tricia G. Enson, proudly participated in the National Summer Leadership Camp 2026, organized by Saceda Youth Lead (SYL), held from April 20–27, 2026 at Palinpinon Elementary School, Dumaguete City, Province of Negros Oriental.

The week-long leadership camp gathered delegates from different institutions across regions including Sulu State University, Silliman University,St.Benedict Childhood Education Center, St.Scholastica’s Academy, Cotabato Province, Cotabato City, Negros Oriental High School and Colegio San Agustin – Bacolod. This convergence of young leaders created a dynamic space for collaboration, learning, and cultural exchange.

Throughout the camp, participants engaged in transformative activities such as leadership workshops, simulations, lectures, eco-challenges, and community service programs. Notable sessions included Socratic Dialogue: Knowing Thyself, Resilient Leadership by Mr. Zac Mansing, and Global Challenges and Their Impacts to Education by Dr. Gina F. Bonior, which enriched the delegates’ perspective on leadership.

One of the most exciting highlights was the Eco-Challenge held at Pulang Bato, which concluded at the breathtaking Pulang Bato Falls. It was truly an enjoyable and memorable experience that strengthened teamwork, resilience, and camaraderie among participants.

During the Cultural Night, Al-Mubarak A. Dandaih and Nur-Mina P. Muhajiran proudly showcased Tausug culture through a tausog song and the graceful traditional dance Pangalay, celebrating cultural identity and diversity, They also performed Pangalay during the Closing Program held at Bethel Guest House, Dumaguete City, Province of Negros Oriental, adding a meaningful and memorable highlight to the culmination of the camp.

NSLC 2026 truly shaped us into a stronger leader in every way, it sharpened our mind to think deeper, think smarter, and think creatively in every challenge we face.it trained our hands and actions to become more skillful, organized, and ready to lead with confidence and most importantly, it touched our heart teaching us empathy, teamwork, and the true purpose of leading with meaning and service.

NSLC didn’t just build skills it built a leader with vision, discipline, and heart.

This journey continues to inspire SSU-CSG leaders to lead with integrity, serve with purpose, and create meaningful impact.

Representing the voice of the student body, the Central Student Government President, Mr. Den-Ahmar S. Rakib, attended the Board Meeting held on May 10, 2026, at the CHED Central Office, UP Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines.

The prestigious gathering was graced by the presence of CHED Chairperson Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis, who continuously supports the growth and development of Sulu State University. Also present were the members of the Board of Regents, spearheaded by the University President, Prof. Charisma Samparani Ututalum, CESE.

The participation of the student leadership in this significant meeting reflects the university’s commitment to inclusive governance, collaborative leadership, and student representation in institutional affairs.

𝗖𝗦𝗚 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗧𝗦 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗝𝗘𝗖𝗧 𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗔 𝗣𝗛𝗔𝗦𝗘 𝟯: 𝗔𝗡 𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗜-𝗕𝗨𝗟𝗟𝗬𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗖𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗔𝗜𝗚𝗡

The Central Student Government (CSG), under the guidance of the Office of Student Affairs and Services, successfully conducted LASA Phase 3: An Anti-Bullying Campaign anchored on the theme, “Stand Against Bullying: Building a Culture of Respect and Awareness” on May 19, 2026, at the Center for Culture and Arts, SSU.

The campaign aimed to raise awareness about bullying, its effects, and the importance of promoting respect, inclusivity, and empathy within the university community.

The program was formally opened by the CSG President, Den-Ahmar S. Rakib, who emphasized the importance of unity in combating bullying and fostering a safe environment for all students.

An inspirational message was delivered by the Provincial Grievance Officer, and served as the invited guest, Mrs. Far-Zheima H. Jimlan-Najar, who highlighted that disability is not a hindrance to success but a source of strength and inspiration.

The Dean of Student Affairs and Services, Engr. Firash Zhed S. Ututalum, discussed bullying, its laws, responsibilities, and reporting mechanisms, while the Dean of Admission and University Psychometrician, Ms. Fhadzra Aisha P. Sabdani, elaborated on the short-term and long-term effects of bullying on individuals.

After the lectures, plaques of appreciation were awarded to the speakers in recognition of their valuable contribution to the success of the activity. This was followed by testimonial messages from the Stalwarts with Diverse Abilities, who shared their experiences and inspired the participants to promote understanding, respect, and inclusivity.

The program concluded with the closing remarks delivered by the CSG Senator, Al-Mubarak Dandaih who encouraged everyone to continue standing against bullying.

Anchored on the theme, “Stand Against Bullying: Building a Culture of Respect and Kindness,” this initiative aims to raise awareness, strengthen support, and encourage every individual to become a voice against any forms of bullying.

Together, let us create a community where everyone feels seen, heard, valued, and protected. Because even the smallest act of kindness can make the biggest difference.

The Central Student Government is immensely proud of its two former officers, Mr. Mohammad Arkin Mohammad Maani, LPT, former CSG President, and Mr. Jun-asrip A. Suayban, LPT, former CSG Representative, for victoriously passing the March Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers.

Your success does not only bring honor to yourselves, but also to the entire Central Student Government and the institution you once served with dedication and integrity. Your achievement in the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers stands as a testament to your perseverance, discipline, and unwavering commitment to the teaching profession.

𝗖𝗦𝗚 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗣𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗦 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗨𝗔𝗡 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲: 𝗧𝗪𝗢-𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗣 𝗦𝗨𝗠𝗠𝗜𝗧

With eagerness and enthusiasm, the Central Student Government productively engaged in the SUNTUAN 2026, a two-day leadership summit organized by the Office of the Student Affairs and Services in partnership with the Future Bridging Leaders Program Alumni Association, on April 26–27, 2026, at the Center of Culture and Arts SSU. The event gathered student leaders to enhance their leadership capabilities and deepen their sense of responsibility in serving both the school and the wider community.

Throughout the summit, participants were exposed to meaningful discussions including “From Classroom to Community: Stories of Bridging Leaders,” which accentuated the importance of applying classroom learning to real-life community engagement, Design Thinking, which introduced a creative and empathetic approach in solving problems through collaboration, and Organizational Planning, which centered on setting clear goals and developing strategic plans.

The SUNTUAN 2026 served as a transformative experience for the student leaders, ameliorating their leadership skills, teamwork, and commitment to becoming productive, innovative, and service-oriented leaders who can create positive impact within and beyond the school community.

Sulu State University, through the Office of Student Affairs and Services, extends its most heartfelt gratitude to the Future Bridging Leaders Program Alumni Association, led by Mr. Patrick Manuel, MDM together with Reinald Jay Belen, MC-ED, Councilor Edren M. Llanillo, Janine Vicente, EMDRCM, Luis Antonio Tolentino and Norhanidah Macatoon.
