CSE REVIEW PROGRAM

The One-Month Intensive Civil Service Review Program, Feb. 03-27,2026, spearheaded by Dr. Nurmini U. Supian, CESGO Director, has formally concluded with a Final Coaching session delivered by Ms. Shanaia-Shedri K. Tahil, RPm,CHRA with the theme “Final Push: Prepare, Perform ,Pass!

This structured academic initiative was conducted over the course of one month and was composed of five comprehensive lecture sessions facilitated by Ma'am Fat. Ayesha V. Nasir, Ma'am Marjihada H. Sakili, Ma'am Mar-Udzna A. Sawadi, Ma'am Sitti Alvea May M. Taludjog and Ma'am Dermayna A. Jamar. Each lecture focused on key subject areas essential to the Civil Service Examination, providing systematic discussions, guided exercises, and targeted strategies to strengthen the reviewees’ conceptual understanding and test-taking competence.

The primary objective of the program is to assist the reviewees in successfully passing the upcoming March 8 Civil Service Examination. Through collaborative instruction and continuous academic support, the program sought to enhance preparedness, confidence, and mastery of core competencies required in the examination.
The successful implementation of this initiative was made possible through the steadfast support of the administration led by Dr. Nagder J. Abdurahman , Dr. Abuzamier Asanji, Dr . Rafael A. Regellana, Dr . Norman A. Abdurahman,
Dr. Kadafi A. Basaluddin, and Dr. Abdel-Ajim M. Salasain whose leadership and institutional commitment greatly contributed to the realization of this endeavor.

Sincere appreciation is likewise extended to the entire team including Ma'am Katrina A. Tsajili, Mary Joy B. Ibno, Nurhida Andong and Amina M. Aming for their dedicated efforts in ensuring the program’s effectiveness.

As the examination date approaches, we remain optimistic that the preparation undertaken through this review program will yield favorable outcomes for all participants.

MSU–SULU Hosts DOST-SEI Scholarship Examination (February 21–22, 2026)

Mindanao State University – Sulu proudly served as the official testing center for the DOST-SEI Scholarship Examination held on February 21–22, 2026, welcoming aspiring 126 scholars from different areas in Sulu who took a step closer to their academic dreams.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Chancellor Dr. Nagder J. Abdurahman for generously allowing the campus to host this important national scholarship examination.

The Continuing Educational Scholarships and Grants Office (CESGO) headed by Dr. Nurmini U. Supian, who actively assist and coordinate throughout the conduct of the examination.

Our appriciation also goes to COED Dean Dr. Feemina O. Anuddin for her continued support, particularly in allocating the necessary rooms to ensure the smooth and organized administration of the test.

We recognize and thank our dedicated Security Guards headed by University police Chief Datu Ghandi Julkarnain for maintaining the safety and security of the campus during the two-day examination.

The activity was facilitated by Ma’am Ida (DOST-SEI National), DOST Sulu, and Sir Leem (COED) whose efforts ensured the successful implementation of the examination.

A total of 2,625 scholars are currently supported through academic, government, institutional, and special-sector scholarship programs. The largest share comes from TES 15 (37.6%), followed by TES 13.1 (4Ps) (20.2%) and COSCHO (10.1%), highlighting the strong role of national government assistance in expanding access to higher education. Merit-based programs such as GAINERS (Academic), TDP, KUYA WIN, and TES 13, alongside culturally and faith-based grants including Islamic–Tulong Aral, Special Muslim Grants, and Cultural Community Grants, ensure inclusive and balanced support for our diverse student population. This continuing effort is made possible through the full support of the University Chancellor, whose commitment to student welfare strengthens the Scholars’ Society (COMSUSS) as a key partner in promoting equitable and quality education.

The Educational Scholarships and Grants Office (ESGO) is pleased to announce that Ms. Amina Muksan Aming has officially received her Notice of Employment. Her appointment as ESGO Staff shall take effect on January 5, 2026.

The office extends its sincere appreciation and gratitude to our Chancellor, Dr. Abdurahman Nagder, for his continued support and trust in strengthening the ESGO through the provision of dedicated personnel in service of our scholars and stakeholders.

ESGO Holds Unified Scholarship Orientation and Centralized Contract Signing for S.Y. 2025–2026

The Educational Scholarships and Grants Office (ESGO) of MSU-Sulu conducted a Unified Scholarship Orientation and Centralized Contract Signing on December 14, 2025, at the Human Development Training Center. The event brought together recipients of the Academic Scholars, CCG, SMG, TULONG ARAL, ACES, SASE, and MSUSPA scholarship programs.

Led by ESGO Director Dr. Nurmini U. Supian, the activity aimed to align scholarship policies and formalize agreements for Academic Year 2025–2026, ensuring that scholars and university officials share a common understanding of their roles and responsibilities.

The program commenced with an invocation led by Mr. Khalid Tampipi. Opening messages were delivered by Prof. Maryjoy B. Ibno, and Chancellor Nagder J. Abdurahman, who underscored the importance of accountability, discipline, and compliance among scholars.

Scholarship guidelines for the Academic Scholars, CCG, SMG, TULONG ARAL, ACES, SASE, and MSUSPA programs were jointly presented by Prof. Alsaddam J. Kinarang, Assistant Registrar, Prof. Karsharif I. Samad, and Prof. Nurmini U. Supian. The presenters provided a comprehensive discussion of scholarship policies, requirements, and compliance measures, emphasizing the standardized and consistent implementation of guidelines across all scholarship programs to ensure clarity, transparency, and accountability among scholars.

Inspirational messages were delivered by Mr. Alfadzni J. Haddimah and Prof. Muner Saradi, encouraging scholars to pursue academic excellence and uphold their responsibilities as beneficiaries of institutional and government support. This was followed by an open forum, giving scholars the opportunity to raise concerns and seek clarifications before the centralized contract signing.

The activity concluded with closing remarks from Mr. John Ivareign, COMSUSS Public Information Officer, followed by photo opportunities.
The unified orientation successfully strengthened coordination among concerned offices, standardized scholarship processes, and ensured that scholars under the Academic Scholars, CCG, SMG, TULONG ARAL, ACES, SASE, and MSUSPA programs are well-informed of their obligations and benefits for the upcoming academic year.
