The giant grouper (E. lanceolatus), one of the largest reef-associated fish species, was successfully captured using a traditional hook-and-line method by Badjao fishers in the waters of Sulu Sea. This remarkable specimen weighed over 100 kilograms, highlighting both the ecological richness of the area and the enduring skill of indigenous fishing communities.🎬ctto

Congratulations…NURMETA A. AHAJAN.
Alhamdulillah!
Congratulations to Ms. Nurmeta A. Ahajan and her co-authors on the successful publication of their Scopus-indexed article in the AACL Bioflux Journal.
Ms. Ahajan is a Master of Science in Aquaculture student and a DOST scholar. Her paper, “Length weight relationship and condition factor of papain fed Cherax quadricarinatus craylings,” was developed as part of her master’s thesis (AQUA 299) under the guidance of her adviser, Prof. Yashier U. Jumah, Ph.D., whose mentorship and support were vital to this achievement.
This milestone reflects the quality and dedication of research in aquaculture.
Best wishes to Ms. Ahajan for her continued academic journey and to her adviser and research team for continued success!
