๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐น๐ถ, ๐ง๐ฎ๐ป๐ด๐ฎ๐น๐ฎ๐ป, ๐๐ธ๐น๐ฎ๐ป โ Jawili Integrated School (JIS) has officially been granted a government permit by the Department of Education (DepEd) Region VI โ Western Visayas to offer the Alternative Learning System Senior High School (ALS-SHS) program for School Year 2026โ2027, expanding access to senior high school education for learners in the community.
The approval was issued through Government Permit (Region VI) No. SP-008, Series of 2026, signed by Regional Director Crisitito A. Eco, CESO III, on July 23, 2026, authorizing JIS to operate the ALS-SHS Special Program in accordance with Republic Act No. 9155 and Republic Act No. 10533.
The newly approved program provides an opportunity for out-of-school youth, working learners, and individuals who were unable to complete formal education to continue and finish their Senior High School through the Alternative Learning System.
School officials welcomed the development, emphasizing that the opening of the ALS-SHS program reflects the school's commitment to making quality and inclusive education more accessible to every learner in the community.
The permit also states that the school must continue to comply with DepEd standards and regulations to maintain the validity of the program.
With the official approval now in place, Jawili Integrated School is set to open its ALS Senior High School program, marking another milestone in promoting inclusive and lifelong learning in Tangalan, Aklan.
