This March 2025, the General Education Unit together with the Gender and Development focal, we proudly celebrate National Women's Month, honoring the vital contributions of women from all sectors in building a Bagong Pilipinas. With the theme “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas,” this year’s celebration promotes inclusivity, empowerment, and equal opportunities, directly contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

As part of the celebration, every Friday of March, we encourage everyone to wear any shade of purple as a symbol of unity and support for women’s empowerment. Let’s make every Friday a !

🎙 SALAYSAY NG KABABAIHAN
Extemporaneous Speech Competition centered on empowering women in society (SDGs 4, 5, 16).

🎬 Gender and Society Performance Innovative Task
A showcase of student-produced documentaries and films focusing on women's issues, advocacy, and empowerment (SDGs 4, 5, 10, 16).

📖 HERstory: "Babae ka, Hindi Babae lang." (University Student Government Initiative)
A special project documenting real-life stories of women in our campus and community, amplifying their strength, resilience, and contributions (SDGs 5, 10, 16).

For Faculty and Staff:
The Women’s Month Celebration also integrates into our Friday Synergy Exercises, promoting wellness and empowerment (SDG 3), with weekly themes:

🟣 1st Friday: BRING AMUSEMENT – Fun, joy, and laughter-filled activities.
🟣 2nd Friday: BREATHE – Mindfulness and breathing exercises for mental wellness.
🟣 3rd Friday: APPRECIATE – Acts of affirmation and gratitude that uplift each other.
🟣 4th Friday: EXERCISE – Physical wellness and movement activities.

🏆 The most creative implementation of these synergy themes will receive the BEST SYNERGY EXERCISES IMPLEMENTER AWARD!

Let’s come together to make this month a celebration of HERstory, ensuring that every woman’s voice, role, and contribution are heard, valued, and empowered as we work towards a healthier (SDG 3), educated (SDG 4), equal (SDG 5), economically inclusive (SDG 😎, just (SDG 10), and peaceful society (SDG 16).
