Colegio de Santo Niรฑo de Jasaan commemorates the United Nations' Month in the whole month of October. Simultaneously, the Student Organization of Araling Panlipunan (SOAP) Club, which was founded by ๐๐ซ. ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ฉ๐๐ง also celebrated the Indigenous Peoples' Month (Buwan ng Katutubo) in accordance with RA No. 8371, also known as the Indigenous Peoples' Rights Act of 1997. These events were celebrated with the leadership of the SOAP Club Officers in collaboration with the Elementary Department Educators. A series of activities was organized, such as ๐๐จ๐๐ฎ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ฒ & ๐
๐ข๐ฅ๐ฆ ๐๐ข๐๐ฐ๐ข๐ง๐ , ๐๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ฅ๐, ๐๐จ๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ซ ๐๐๐ค๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐๐ฌ๐ญ, ๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ณ ๐๐๐: ๐๐ซ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ง๐๐ง ๐๐๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง, and the ๐๐ฆ๐๐ณ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐๐๐: ๐๐๐ซ๐จ๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ก๐ข ๐๐๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง. These activities were intended to promote various Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which the United Nations introduced during the 2015 Conference of the member states and nations of the UN organization.
The celebration was successfully concluded by a ๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ฆ that was held on October 24, 2025, where the UN also commemorated the founding anniversary of the organization in the year 1945. The Preschool and Elementary students showcased diverse national costumes from the countries that they represent, while the Junior and Senior High School students presented varying Native and Folk Dances of the Philippines. Additionally, the JHS/SHS Department also displayed colorful Booths from the different year levels that showcase the cultures and traditions of the different regions and Indigenous communities in the Philippines.
The whole month of October was packed with momentous events that highlight not only the talents of the students, but also emphasize the commitment of the school not only in education, but also in its humble participation in international affairs and in promoting diverse cultures!
