This quote from Nelson Mandela is a powerful reminder that inside a building, in a school or in class, behind a desk, or in front of a class is someone making a change. When there are celebrations for something we achieved in life, there are usually teachers, who help to shape part of the process. Not only these educators teach us about what they know, but also invest their heart and soul in creating who we are to become. They give us hope where there is none, believe in us where we are miles away from believing in ourselves, and assist us in being great when the circumstances are awfully awkward. On this special occasion of Teacher’s Day, it is important for us to count some of the many things we are grateful for with all the amazing teachers in our life. We are grateful for your hard work in making us understand the lessons you taught, the motivation you gave when little hope seemed to remain, and for encouraging us to think.

SocSciMatic Department launches the SocSciMatic celebration this month with the main theme “Siyensya, Teknolohiya, at Inobasyon: Kabalikat sa Matatag, Maginhawa, at Panatag na Kinabukasan” and its sub-theme “Providing Solutions and Opening Opportunities in the Green Economy.

SocSciMatic month celebration’s primary objective is to ignite interest among students, inspire them to perform new experiments, and make them aware of the latest developments in science and technology, as well as provide solutions to the pressing problems faced by society. Yet, it prepared different activities to showcase the knowledge, abilities, and skills of the students. Today, September 2, 2024, NDJI celebrates the visionary leadership of Bishop Gerard Mongeau, OMI, and Bishop Gerard Dion, OMI, whose unwavering commitment to education led to the establishment of OND and Notre Dame Schools.

The faculty and the students joyfully celebrated the school's Foundation Day with the OND Sisters, expressing our gratitude for their dedication and service to the school. The day was filled with warmth as students presented their flowers, gifts, heartfelt letters, and even cakes!

To add to the fun, students and teachers alike participated in lively parlor games, bringing everyone together in laughter and unity, despite the heat of the noon and the rain that followed after. It was a memorable day that highlighted the strong bonds within our school community and honored the rich history and spirit of our school.

As we commemorate this special day, we express our deepest gratitude to our founder and to everyone who has carried forward their vision. Together, we continue to uphold the values that make the Notre Dame Schools, specifically the Notre Dame of Jaro, Inc. a beacon of learning and growth.

𝗠𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗔𝗬𝗔𝗡𝗚 𝗕𝗨𝗪𝗔𝗡 𝗡𝗚 𝗪𝗜𝗞𝗔!

Ang Notre Dame of Jaro, Inc. ay nakiisa sa pagdiriwang ng BUWAN NG WIKANG PAMBANSA 2024! Ang Wikang Filipino ay hindi lamang isang paraan ng pakikipagkomunikasyon, ito ay isang daluyan ng kalayaan at pagkakakilanlan. Ngunit, itinampok ng Kagawaran ng wika ang mga paligsahan at pagtatanghal na nakaangkla sa temang “Wikang Filipino: Wikang Mapagpalaya” kung saan ipinakita ng buong paaralan ang kahalagahan ng pagiging isang pilipino. Ang pagsisimula ng araw sa pamamagitan ng panalangin at awiting pambansa; para dito ay nagpapakita ng paggalang at pagpapahalaga sa Pilipinas. Nagsimula ang programa sa "Tagisan ng Talino", na sinundan ng kompetisyon sa pagkanta ng OPM (Solo at Duet), na may Laro ng Lahi na naganap pagkatapos ng mga kompetisyong iyon. Pagkatapos, nagkaroon ng pananghalian na may preparasyon para sa susunod na mga kompetisyon. Sa hapon ay naganap ang mga komposisyon at mga presentasyon katulad ng Pagbigkas ng Tula, Katutubong Sayaw, Sabayang Pagbigkas, at mga Modernong Sayaw ay Pagkatapos ng ilang sandali, naabot na ang pinakahihintay na bahagi ng programa; ang pagbibigay buhay sa karakter ni Binibining Maria Clara at Ginoong Crisostomo Ibarra.

Sa bawat salita, at sa bawat pahayag, lumalaya ang ating mga isipan mula sa mga tanikala ng kawalang-malay. Ipagdiwang natin ang wikang nagpapalaya sa atin tungo sa isang mas makatarungan at maunlad na lipunan.
