JAGNA, BOHOLโOn April 11, 2026, 401 graduating students turned tassels during the Central Visayan Institute Foundation (CVIF) Senior High School 94th Commencement Exercises for the Class of 2026. The graduation ceremony was held at the Jagna Cultural Center. Ms. Rechbel Bersaluna, a STEM student, was titled this year's Class Valedictorian.
The event began at exactly 1:00 in the afternoon with a processional, wherein graduates marched alongside their proud parents, followed by the CVIF administrators, faculty, and staff.
Ms. Kristiane May C. Tan, the Class Salutatorian, delivered the welcome address, expressing appreciation for everyone's hard work, efforts, and sacrifices that made their educational journey successful.
Afterward, Ms. Ruby Anna O. Ranoa, the SHS principal, presented the candidates for graduation. This was followed by acceptance and confirmation by Rev. Fr. Ruel P. Pangan, MA Psych, the Bohol Association of Catholic Schools Superintendent. Rev. Fr. Pangan was subsequently presented with a plaque of appreciation for serving as the event's guest speaker.
Next came the awarding of medals to outstanding graduates. Leading the graduating class was Ms. Rechbel P. Bersaluna, who was also named the top student of the STEM strand. Furthermore, the school honored the top students in each strand. In the ABM strand, Ms. Marcelie B. Bachinilla received the highest academic distinction. Ms. April Vencis Galbizo led the HUMSS strand, while Ms. Eilisha Melle S. Galanido topped the ICT strand.
Ms. Bersaluna delivered a heartfelt message of gratitude. She shared a meaningful reflection inspired by an MLBB quote: "You should be ashamed for not trusting yourself." She reminded her co-graduates to have confidence in their abilities and to face challenges with courage. She also expressed her sincere appreciation to the teachers, friends, and loved ones who supported her throughout her academic journey.
Afterward, medals and certificates were awarded, recognizing everyone's excellence and hard work throughout the school year.
Dr. Christopher C. Bernido, the CVIF President, also shared a message for the graduates. He encouraged them to pursue their passions and make a positive impact on the world.
Mr. Ken Licayan, a STEM student, then led the pledge of loyalty, while Mr. Benigno C. Abcede, RM, RN, MD, MPM, a distinguished alumnus, thereafter led the alumni pledge.
The graduates then proudly sang their graduation song, "Saranggola" by Ben&Ben, expressing their bittersweet acceptance of moving forward while cherishing shared memories.
The event finally concluded with the singing of the CVIF Alma Mater Song, followed by the class pictorials.
