🌎💙 INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR THE PRESERVATION OF THE OZONE LAYER | SEPTEMBER 16 💙🌤️

☀️🛡️ THE SKY HAS ITS OWN SHIELD—LET’S PROTECT IT!

Did you know that high above us is a thin layer of gas called the OZONE LAYER? 👀🌍 It acts like Earth’s natural sunscreen, absorbing much of the Sun’s harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation and helping protect living things.

💡 DID YOU KNOW?
🧪 The ozone layer is mainly found in the stratosphere, about 15–35 km above Earth’s surface.
UV-B radiation.
🌱 In 1987, countries adopted the Montreal Protocol to phase out many ozone-depleting substances. It is widely recognized as a major environmental cooperation success. 🌎🤝

🚨 WHY DOES IT MATTER?
Too much harmful UV radiation can increase risks to human health and can also affect plants, marine ecosystems, and other living organisms.

🇵🇭 NINOY AQUINO DAY | August 21🎗️

“The Filipino is worth dying for.”

Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr. was more than a senator—he was a journalist, a political leader, and one of the strongest voices who stood against dictatorship and fought for democracy in the Philippines.

Born on November 27, 1932, Ninoy entered politics at a young age and became one of the country’s youngest mayors, governors, and senators. Because of his opposition to the Marcos dictatorship, he was imprisoned and later forced into exile in the United States.

Despite the risks, Ninoy chose to return to the Philippines on August 21, 1983, believing that his country needed him. Moments after arriving at the Manila International Airport, he was assassinated.

His death sparked nationwide outrage and strengthened the Filipino people’s call for freedom and democracy, contributing to the People Power Revolution of 1986.

Today, we remember Ninoy not only for how he died, but for what he lived and stood for—courage, freedom, democracy, and love for the Filipino people.

November 27, 1932 – August 21, 1983

His life ended, but his courage continues to inspire a nation. 🕊️

Hello, Sanpablonians! 👋 Since madalas na ang pag-ulan at possible ang bagyo, reminder muna from your YES-O Officers: safety first, always! 💚

☔ 1. ALWAYS BRING YOUR UMBRELLA
Huwag hintayin na umulan bago maalala ang payong. 😭 Better prepared than soaking wet!

📱 2. STAY UPDATED
Always check official weather updates and announcements from PAGASA, the school, and local authorities. Huwag basta maniwala sa random posts—verify muna!

🎒 3. KEEP YOUR THINGS DRY
Protect your notebooks, IDs, gadgets, and other important things. Plastic bags or waterproof pouches = lifesaver.

⚡ 4. BE CAREFUL AROUND ELECTRICITY
Kapag basa ang paligid, extra careful sa outlets, appliances, at electrical wires. Safety muna bago “kaya ko ’to.”

🌊 5. HUWAG BASTA TUMAWID SA BAHA
Kung baha at hindi safe, DON’T RISK IT. Hindi natin alam kung gaano kalalim, kalakas ang agos, or may electrical hazard sa tubig.

🌳 6. AVOID DANGEROUS AREAS
During strong winds, stay away from trees, posts, roofs, and other objects that may fall.

🔋 7. CHARGE YOUR PHONE
Make sure your phone and power bank are charged. Communication is important, especially during emergencies. ☎️

🐾 8. CHECK ON OUR FUR BABIES
Huwag kalimutan ang ating mga alagang hayop. Keep them somewhere safe, dry, and away from flood-prone areas. 🐶🐱

🚨 9. FOLLOW SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENTS
If there is an evacuation or emergency advisory, follow the instructions of authorities immediately. Huwag magpakabayani.

💚 10. LOOK OUT FOR EACH OTHER
Kung may kakilala kayong nangangailangan ng tulong, especially during heavy rain or flooding, inform a responsible adult citizen or authority.
