The Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) is thrilled to share the success of our recent mangrove tree planting activity held at Barangay Agustin Navarra, Ivisan, Capiz. Our students, teachers, and community partners came together to get their hands dirty and establish a vital new stand of mangroves, which are crucial for coastal protection and marine life.

This meaningful initiative wouldn't have been possible without incredible support. A huge thank you goes to the honorable Barangay Captain of Agustin Navarra, Hon. Danny Loberes, for his invaluable support and commitment to environmental stewardship.

We also extend our deepest gratitude to the dedicated teachers of Basiao NHS for their guidance and active participation—you are truly leading by example! Finally, thank you to our hardworking student organizations, the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) and the Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD), for your enthusiastic participation and dedication. Your collective spirit made this event a resounding success!

On September 30, 2025, Basiao National High School (BNHS) vibrantly celebrated its Science Month 2025, a dynamic event that showcased the creativity, intellect, and enthusiasm of its students and faculty. The celebration, held under the theme of fostering scientific curiosity and innovation, was a resounding success, thanks to the collective efforts of the school’s dedicated teachers and to our Assistant Principal II, Sir Minard B. Abarra. Special recognition is extended to the Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O), the driving force behind the program, in collaboration with Science Coordinator, Ma’am May Ureta. The event was further elevated by the invaluable support of the Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) and the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG). 💚
