The Schools Division Office of Sultan Kudarat clarifies that, based on the initial findings of the authorized school authorities and the Isulan Municipal Police Station, NO SHOOTING INCIDENT OCCURRED at Isulan National High School.

Following the reported alleged gunfire-like sound, which remains under investigation, the school immediately activated its lockdown procedure and implemented the appropriate security protocols and communication mechanisms to ensure the safety and security of all learners and personnel. These measures were consistent with the safety protocols practiced during the September 18, 2026 Province-Wide Safety Drill. Responding authorities likewise promptly conducted the necessary assessment and verification of the situation.

The Schools Division Office continues to coordinate closely with the concerned authorities while the validation and investigation process is ongoing.

We respectfully appeal to the public to refrain from sharing unverified information, reports, or statements that may cause unnecessary panic, fear, and distress among learners, personnel, parents, and the community. Everyone is encouraged to rely only on official and verified information issued by the school, the Schools Division Office, and the concerned authorities.

The safety, security, and well-being of our learners and personnel remain our utmost priority.

The Department of Education, Schools Division of Sultan Kudarat, is aware of the reported alleged gunfire incident at Isulan National High School today, September 30, 2026.
The situation is currently under control, and everyone is safe, with no reported injuries or casualties. Authorities are conducting an investigation to establish the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident.

As a precautionary measure, the Local Government Unit of Isulan has declared the suspension of face-to-face classes this afternoon until further notice. We urge everyone to remain calm and refrain from sharing unverified information.

The Schools Division Office continues to closely monitor the situation and coordinate with concerned authorities. Further updates will be issued as necessary.

PUBLIC SAFETY ADVISORY

In view of the reported school shooting threat within the Area of Responsibility (AOR) of Isulan, classes scheduled for September 21, 2026 are suspended and shift to alternative delivery mode (modular) for private and public schools in all levels until further notice. This is a precautionary measure to ensure the safety and security of our students, teachers, school personnel, and the general public.

The concerned authorities are currently coordinating and planning appropriate security and safety measures to address the reported threat and prevent any possible untoward incident. The public is advised to remain calm, vigilant, and cooperative, and to avoid spreading unverified information that may cause unnecessary fear or panic.

Rest assured that the safety and well-being of the Isulanon community remain our top priority. Law enforcement authorities and concerned agencies will continue to monitor the situation, verify the information received, and take appropriate action in accordance with established procedures and applicable laws.

Those who are found responsible for making or communicating threats will be properly identified and may be held accountable in accordance with the law.
