𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝟐| A very fulfilling and engaging symposium, indeed! The students did not just sit, listen, and took notes—they actively participated, answered questions, shared their thoughts, and brought life to every session.

With every raise hand and meaningful answers, the symposium became more interactive and enjoyable. It was a day fullfilled with learning and participation.

In coordination with the Isabela Provincial Health Office, Municipal Helath Office of Naguilian, and Naguilian National High School, Guidance and Counseling Office, successfully conducted the “𝐈𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐞ñ𝐨 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠: 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡, 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬” 𝐒𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐮𝐦, an initiative dedicated to promoting health awareness, resilience, and responsible decision making among the youth.

Tha program was hosted by 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐬—𝐏𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐚 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐲 𝐒𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐨—𝐏𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐬 𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏.𝐈.𝐎.

The activity commenced by an invocation led by 𝐌𝐚’𝐚𝐦 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝐉𝐨𝐲 𝐃. 𝐆𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐝, 𝐀𝐝𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫.
Followed by a special message from our 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐈, 𝐌𝐚’𝐚𝐦 𝐅𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐝 𝐃. 𝐙𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐬, 𝐌𝐀𝐄𝐝. She emphasized the importance of this symposium and valuing the knowledge and opportunities provided by this symposium, encapsulated in her message “𝑼𝒔𝒆 𝒊𝒕, 𝑻𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒊𝒕.”

The opening remarks were delivered by 𝐃𝐫. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐫 𝐀. 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐮𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐨, 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫, who welcomed the participants and highlighted the importance of this symposium.
The objectives were presented by the 𝐈𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐟𝐟, establishing the purpose of this event.

The first session focused on 𝐒𝐓𝐈 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐈𝐕 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥, 𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐌𝐚’𝐚𝐦 𝐉𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐢-𝐋𝐲𝐧 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨, 𝐑𝐍, 𝐒𝐓𝐈/𝐇𝐈𝐕 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫. This discussion provided students with essential information on prevention, awareness, and responsible decisions.

This was followed by a session on 𝐓𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐌𝐚’𝐚𝐦 𝐄𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐚 𝐀. 𝐀𝐬𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐑𝐍, 𝐀𝐝𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫. The discussion emphasized responsible decision making and the importance of prioritizing education, aspiration and future goals, highlighted by the messages, “𝑻𝑶𝑮𝑨 𝑴𝑼𝑵𝑨 𝑩𝑨𝑮𝑶 𝑻𝑹𝑨𝑯𝑬 𝑫𝑬 𝑩𝑶𝑫𝑨”, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 “𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒃𝒆 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅, 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒅𝒊𝒂𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔.”

The third session was conducted by 𝐌𝐚’𝐚𝐦 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐥 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐂. 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐲𝐞𝐠𝐚, 𝐑𝐍, 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫. The session encouraged the students to speak-up and to seek appropriate support, and understanding that experiencing difficult emotions is part of being human, with the reminder “𝒊𝒕𝒔 𝒐𝒌𝒂𝒚 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒆 𝒐𝒌𝒂𝒚.”

The discussion on 𝐂𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐕𝐚𝐩𝐞 𝐔𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐒𝐢𝐫 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐢 𝐉𝐡𝐨𝐧 𝐒. 𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐧, 𝐑𝐍, who provided students with indepth information regarding the risk and effects of cigarette and v**e usage.

The final session focused on 𝐂𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐕𝐚𝐩𝐞 𝐔𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐒𝐢𝐫 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐢 𝐉𝐡𝐨𝐧 𝐒. 𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐧, 𝐑𝐍. The discussion highlighted the importance of proper nutrition and its role to students in maintaining their health.

The awarding of certificates is highlighted to our distinguished speakers in recognition to their valuable contribution and time for teaching our participants.

The closing message was delivered by 𝐌𝐚’𝐚𝐦 𝐋𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐢 𝐑. 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐚, 𝐑𝐏𝐬𝐲, 𝐑𝐏𝐦, 𝐑𝐍, 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐫 𝐈𝐈𝐈, who expressed her sincere appreciation to the Municipal Health Office, and participants for their contributions and support for this symposium.

Today we honor the life, courage and sacrifice of Benigno ‘Ninoy’ Aquino Jr. — a man who stood firm in his pursuit of freedom, democracy, and to a batter Philippines.
