Last February 22, 2026, the YSLEP Scholars gathered for a meaningful Values Formation session aimed at strengthening their character, deepening their sense of responsibility, and nurturing their commitment to service.

The activity provided an opportunity for reflection, personal growth, and shared learning — reinforcing the core values that guide the scholars not only in their academic journey but also in their mission to serve the community with integrity and compassion.

Through continuous formation and unity, the YSLEP Scholars remain committed to becoming individuals who lead with purpose and serve with heart.

𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐀𝐒-𝐂𝐂𝐈 𝐘𝐒𝐋𝐄𝐏 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐁𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐃𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐬

In observance of the blessed month of Ramadan, the CARITAS-CCI YSLEP Scholars organized and shared an Iftar with our Muslim brothers and sisters in Barangay Diki, fostering a spirit of unity, compassion, and solidarity within the community.

Subsequently, in response to the fire incident that occurred on February 15 in Barangay Diki, the scholars collectively extended assistance to the affected families on February 28. Through their combined efforts, clothing donations were gathered and distributed to individuals and families who lost their homes and personal belongings.

This initiative reflects the enduring commitment of CARITAS-CCI YSLEP Scholars to service, empathy, and community engagement.

Together in service, united in compassion.

As we celebrate the Month of Giving, CCI 4th year students, in partnership with Caritas Manila, extended Christmas cheer to the street children of Boulevard—showing that even simple acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference.

On October 12, 2025, the YSLEP Caritas Scholars, together with the SAS Scholars, gathered for a meaningful Values Formation at Claret College of Isabela. It was a day of reflection, learning, and strengthening the spirit of compassion and service. 💙

A heartfelt thank you to all the Values Formators, headed by Miss Renita Bacala, for their guidance and inspiration throughout the session. 🌟

𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞, 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
In a world often divided by differences, the YSLEP scholars shine as symbols of harmony and hope.
This year, they embraced their parish involvement with open hearts and steadfast devotion - Christians offering their service at Sta. Isabel de Portuga' Cathedral Parish, while Muslims fulfilled theirs at Mahad Attaqwa Al-Islamie, Barangay Tabuk

Though they walked in separate sacred grounds, their journey carried the same purpose: to serve with humility, compassion, and love for community.
Their actions remind us that faith, no matter the path it follows, can become a bridge that unites, not divides.

Through their service, they demonstrate that true greatness is not found in titles or positions, but in the quiet strength of giving back. Their commitment becomes a beacon of light, proving that when Christians and Muslims stand together in service, they weave a powerful story of peace, solidarity, and hope for generations to come.

Today, September 7, 2025, Claret College of Isabela formally welcomed its new Caritas YSLEP scholars through the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement, held in the presence of their parents and senior scholars during the orientation.

The program was graced by Mr. Daniel Castillo, YSLEP Program Officer, who led the discussions, and Sister Alex, who inspired everyone with her meaningful opening remarks. This event marked not only the beginning of another academic journey but also the continued commitment to nurturing lives through education, service, and faith.

YSLEP Scholars of CCI, headed by YSLEP Coordinator Ms. Renita Bacala and YSLEP Scholar President Leansae Uyao, actively participated in the house-to-house visitation of Caritas Manila scholarship applicants.

The team visited various barangays in Isabela City, bringing the mission of Caritas closer to the community and ensuring that qualified and deserving youth are given the opportunity to pursue their education.

This meaningful effort reflects the true spirit of YSLEP: serving with compassion, integrity, and hope. 💛

Caritas Manila’s YSLEP Program Officer, Mr. Daniel Castillo, joined by Ma’am Renita Bacala, CCI YSLEP Coordinator, and Ms. Maria Dolores Strong, led this year’s orientation with inspiring words and important reminders.

The session provided a brief yet meaningful orientation about YSLEP policies, scholars’ responsibilities, and the shared commitment to academic excellence and community service.

Today May 29,2025 general meeting and cleanup drive were a resounding success, especially for the Caritas scholars! Their active participation showed a strong commitment not only to a clean and thriving school environment but also to the values of community and responsibility that Caritas embodies. The collaborative spirit and hard work demonstrated today are a testament to their dedication and will be a strong foundation for a successful 2025-2026 academic year.
