As part of its continuing efforts to promote waste management and environmental cleanliness, the SELG of Cabunbata Elementary School turned over two (2) 100-liter trash bins on August 10, after the flag raising ceremony.

Under the advisory of Teacher Cherylen D. Inot, SELG President Sharmila M. Asa led the turn-over to School Principal Roseller S. Obedencia and Assistant School Head Joel M. Ummar.

The project aims to promote proper waste segregation and responsible waste disposal. Together with the BKD and YES-O Officers, the SELG will continue the Basura Rangers and Trash Patrol, groups of student leaders who monitor proper waste disposal during recess and help maintain cleanliness around the school campus.

Facilitating effective classroom instruction requires the right tools. Cabunbata Elementary School received the lapel microphones delivered via Isabela City Schools Division Office.

All teachers of Cabunbata Elementary School received 1 lapel each. These assistive devices are vital for voice preservation, ensuring that every lesson is clearly heard by our students without causing vocal strain to our faculty.

Thank you to the administrative channels of the Department of Education for facilitating the logistical rollout of these public resources directly to our frontlines. We look forward to utilizing these tools for the benefit of our learners.💙

𝗖𝗕𝗘𝗦 𝗔𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗦 𝗦𝗨𝗖𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗦 𝗜𝗡 𝟭-𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗗𝗨𝗔𝗟 𝗥𝗘𝗚𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗩𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦

Cabunbata Elementary School successfully underwent Dual Regional Monitoring and Validation conducted by the Department of Education Regional Office IX today, August 4.

The first activity was the Regional Onsite Validation and Assessment Monitoring led by Dr. Lee Baraquia, EPS of the Policy, Planning, and Research Division (PPRD), which focused on the school's current enrollment status compared to the previous school year. During the presentation, School Principal Mr. Roseller S. Obedencia shared the school's enrollment data, best practices, challenges encountered, and strategic interventions implemented to increase learner enrollment. At the conclusion of the validation, Dr. Baraquia commended Mr. Obedencia for his well-presented and thoroughly defended enrollment documents and data.

The second monitoring centered on the implementation of the ARAL Program, particularly the progress and current status of the ARAL Summer Tutees. The Regional Monitoring Team provided valuable technical assistance and recommendations to further strengthen program implementation. In response, Mr. Obedencia presented the school's ways forward, including the scheduled reassessment of ARAL Tutees on August 18–19, to monitor learners' progress and guide succeeding interventions.

Cabunbata Elementary School reaffirmed its commitment to delivering quality education by continuously strengthening data-driven planning, implementing learner-centered programs, and promoting continuous school improvement in support of the Department of Education's mission.

Cabunbata Elementary School successfully concluded its 2026 National Nutrition Month Celebration on July 31, 2026, anchored on the theme "Sa PPAN: Sama-sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat!" and the sub-theme "Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan!"

Held beneath the towering mahogany trees of the school's mini forest, the celebration provided a refreshing natural setting that reflected the event's advocacy for nutrition and environmental stewardship.

The activity was graced by officials from the Schools Division Office of Isabela City,
District and Division personnel, Program Development Officers, Barangay Officials, City Health Office representatives, Barangay Health Workers, partner agencies, and other valued stakeholders who witnessed and supported the celebration.

Highlights of the event included the Cooking Contest, Poster Making Contest, Slogan Making Contest, NutriQuiz, and Fruit and Vegetable Display Competition, showcasing the learners' creativity, talents, and appreciation for healthy living. Winners received cash prizes and goodies through the generosity of the school's donors and stakeholders.

The success of the activity was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the school administration headed by Principal Roseller S. Obedencia, Assistant School Head Joel M. Ummar, the dedicated teaching and non-teaching personnel, parents, learners, barangay officials, partner agencies, and community stakeholders. Their collective commitment exemplified the spirit of unity and shared responsibility in promoting health, nutrition, and environmental awareness among learners.
