CAUAYAN CITY (July 10, 2026) โ In a proactive effort to strengthen campus safety and disaster preparedness, the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit successfully concluded a targeted bomb threat simulation today with the Grade 7 learners at Cauayan City National High School - Cabaruan Extension. The hands-on drill focused on equipping the schoolโs youngest community members with the composure and practical knowledge needed to handle high-stakes emergencies without panic. School administrators and safety coordinators emphasized that introducing these critical protocols early builds a lasting culture of vigilance and security across the entire campus.
During the simulated scene, the EOD experts highlighted essential "dos and don'ts" that every student must remember. Learners were instructed to always remain calm, report suspicious objects immediately to authorities, and follow designated evacuation routes quickly while leaving heavy belongings behind. Conversely, the EOD unit strictly warned students never to touch, shake, or move a suspected package, and to avoid using cellphones or two-way radios near the scene, as radio frequencies can accidentally trigger explosive devices. Furthermore, students were reminded never to open doors or windows unnecessarily, nor spread unverified rumors on social media that could complicate emergency responses.
The faculty of CCNHS - Cabaruan Extension expressed deep gratitude to the EOD personnel for their vital expertise. By bridging the gap between theoretical safety plans and real-world ex*****on, the successful drill reinforces the school's ongoing commitment to maintaining a secure, peaceful environment where students can learn with absolute peace of mind.

๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐, ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ โ In a milestone move toward elevating foundational learning, Cauayan City National High School - Cabaruan Extension successfully spearheaded the pilot testing of the newly developed Literacy and Numeracy Knowledge (LiNK) Assessment tool today, June 11.
The assessment covered learners across all high school levels, from Grades 7 through 12.
CCNHS - Cabaruan Extension was strategically selected as the pilot testing school to evaluate the overall effectiveness, efficiency, and real-world applicability of the new evaluation instrument. Unlike generalized exams, the LiNK tool is uniquely designed and tailored to measure the specific literacy and numeracy competencies required at every distinct grade level.
To ensure the integrity, smooth flow, and standardized implementation of the pioneering assessment, the school-wide testing was closely monitored by Maโam Criselda Corpuz, the Education Program Supervisor in Mathematics, Schools Division of Cauayan City.
The administration of CCNHS - CabExt expressed profound gratitude for the trust placed in the institution to pilot the program. The school management highlighted that the data gathered from today's testing will play a critical role in refining the tool before its regional or nationwide rollout.
The successful implementation was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the schoolโs faculty and administrative staff, all working together to champion data-driven educational advancements.
