Regional and Division Leaders Join Maligui Elementary School for First Day of Term 2

Maligui Elementary School opened its doors for the second term with a strong show of support from higher office, hosting a team of Regional Guests and Division Officials led by Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Maria Laarni T. Villanueva.

Regional representatives spent time reviewing school setup details, focusing on actual class sizes, daily class schedules, and overall teacher workloads. Their focus was straightforward making sure classrooms stay balanced and comfortable for learning while keeping workloads manageable so teachers can perform at their best.

At the same time, SDS Villanueva and her division team walked the hallways and popped into active classrooms to greet teachers and students. Rather than a formal audit, the classroom check-ins served as a warm check-in to offer encouragement, observe lesson start-ups, and lend immediate supervisory backing right where the teaching happens.

The administration and teaching staff of Maligui Elementary School expressed their appreciation for the proactive guidance from regional and division leaders.

Maligui Elementary School has successfully concluded its scheduled School Safety Drill.

Our primary objective was to reinforce disaster risk reduction protocols and ensure quick, orderly emergency ex*****on among our learners, faculty, and administrative staff. Everyone demonstrated great discipline during the practical simulation.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our school administration, safety coordinators, and local community stakeholders for their valuable support in keeping our school grounds a safe space for learning.

Maligui Elementary School joined the nationwide School Safety Simulation Drill on September 3, strengthening the school community’s readiness to respond to emergencies.

With the support of the Philippine National Police–Isabela City, learners, teachers, and school personnel were guided through proper emergency response procedures. The simulation emphasized staying calm, being alert, following instructions, and working together to ensure everyone’s safety.

Under the leadership of School Principal II Avalyra L. Atong, the activity was successfully carried out through the active participation and cooperation of the entire Maligui ES community.

Through initiatives like this, Maligui ES continues to promote a culture of preparedness, safety, and resilience, because in every emergency, being prepared can save lives.

MALIGUI ELEMENTARY SCHOOL HOLDS ACTIVE ATTACK DRILL ORIENTATION FOR SCHOOL SAFETY

In a proactive effort to enhance school safety and disaster preparedness, Maligui Elementary School, under the dedicated leadership of School Principal Avalyra L. Atong, successfully conducted an Active Attack Drill Orientation today, equipping teachers, school staff, and community leaders with vital emergency response strategies.

The orientation featured Police Lieutenant Colonel Wilfredo P. Palamos Jr., Chief of Police of the Isabela City Police Station, as the guest speaker. PLTCOL Palamos emphasized the importance of heightening vigilance, maintaining rapid emergency response protocols, and fostering strong collaboration between educational institutions and law enforcement agencies to safeguard learners and school personnel from security threats.

Demonstrating strong community backing, Hon. Nurol L. Atong, Barangay Chairman of Maligui, attended the event alongside members of the Barangay Tanods. Their presence highlighted the shared commitment between the local barangay council and the school administration in maintaining a secure learning environment.

The event was hosted by Teacher Jocelyn Concepcion, who served as the master of ceremony.

Through initiatives like this, Principal Atong and the entire Maligui Elementary School community continue to prioritize learner welfare by ensuring the school remains prepared, resilient, and well-coordinated during critical safety incidents.

A Voice Saved, A Class Engaged: Maligui Elementary Teachers Welcome New Lapel Mics

Teaching a room full of energetic young learners for hours at a time is rewarding, but by the end of the week, many teachers are left with sore throats and barely a whisper of a voice.

That daily strain is finally getting much-needed relief, and the entire school community is expressing its heartfelt appreciation to the Department of Education (DepEd) for a timely and thoughtful intervention.

The school recently received portable voice amplifiers—compact lapel microphones—giving its teaching staff a way to conduct lessons comfortably without having to strain their voices across busy classrooms. With the new lapel mics, teachers can speak at a natural, conversational volume while ensuring that every pupil, even those sitting in the back rows, can hear every word clearly.

The arrival of the new gear at Maligui Elementary School was made possible through the combined effort and care of national, regional, and division leaders who put teacher welfare front and center.

The school community extended its warm thanks to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and DepEd Central Office, led by Secretary Sonny Angara, for prioritizing the health and well-being of public school teachers. DepEd Regional Office IX for supporting local distribution. Schools Division Office (SDO) of Isabela City, under the guidance of Dr. Ma. Laarni T. Villanueva, Ed.D., CESO VI (Schools Division Superintendent) and Dr. Lyna H. Basri, Ed.D. (Assistant Schools Division Superintendent).

Special gratitude was also extended to the Division ICT Unit (ICTU) headed by Ma’am Armida Roilo, together with the PSDS of West District 2, Yashier U. Susulan, Education Program Supervisors, and division supply personnel who worked behind the scenes to ensure the smooth, direct delivery of the equipment to the campus.

For the faculty, staff, and pupils at Maligui Elementary, the lapel microphones represent much more than just new gadgets. They are a meaningful sign of care for teacher well-being and a direct investment in the quality of classroom learning.

Through this support, DepEd is helping ensure that teachers stay healthy, energized, and ready to inspire their young learners every single day.
