ARAL Summer Program Officially Launches; PSDS Susulan Leads Orientation for Tutors and Parents

The Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning (ARAL) Summer Program for 2026 has officially moved into its implementation phase. The program is a targeted response to the learning crisis, mandated by Republic Act No. 12028 (the ARAL Program Act), aimed at helping students reach grade-level proficiency in core subjects.

The program is headed by Public Schools District Supervisor (PSDS) Yashier U. Susulan, whose leadership emphasizes the importance of continuous learning even during the summer break. Joining the leadership team are the brilliant educators, Prescila C. Domingono (MT-I), Maria Lourdes C. Penat (Teacher VI), and Shiela K. Fernandez (Teacher VI), whom bring extensive classroom expertise to the initiative. The School Aral coordinator is also present Louisamar F. Alajas (Teacher III) who will help monitor the progress of ARAL SUMMER to the learners.

The front-line efforts will be bolstered by dedicated tutors Jofel B. Guerrero and Riza A. Tahil, who were introduced to the community as the primary mentors for the participating learners.

The success of the launch was highlighted by the strong turnout of parents, whose involvement is seen as a critical component of the program's effectiveness.

As the program moves into its active phase, the Aral Summer team has pledged to provide regular progress reports. With 2026 serving as a pivotal year for learning recovery, this initiative stands as a testament to the local teaching force's dedication to academic excellence.

Maligui Elementary School proudly marked a significant milestone as it successfully conducted its 60th Graduation Ceremony and 10th Moving-Up Ceremony at the school’s Multi-Purpose Hall. The event was a celebration of academic achievement, perseverance, and the bright future that awaits the learners.

With the theme centered on preparing learners to lead with competence and character, the ceremony gathered parents, teachers, and distinguished guests who witnessed the culmination of the students’ hard work and dedication.

The highlight of the program was the inspiring message delivered by 𝙀𝙣𝙜𝙧. 𝙀𝙞𝙙𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙣 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙥𝙞𝙤 𝙋𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙡, the 𝙂𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙎𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙧, who motivated the graduates and completers to pursue their dreams with courage, resilience, and faith. His words left a lasting impact, encouraging learners to embrace challenges as they move forward to the next chapter of their academic journey.

Maligui Elementary School successfully held its Supreme Elementary Learner Government (SELG) Grand Rally, bringing together students, teachers, and parents in a lively and meaningful event.

The rally served as a platform for SELG candidates to present their platforms and leadership goals, promoting responsible citizenship, confidence, and active participation among learners. Cheers, banners, and performances filled the school grounds as students showed their support for their chosen candidates. The event also strengthened camaraderie among learners and encouraged them to take an active role in school governance.

The SELG Grand Rally highlighted Maligui Elementary School’s commitment to nurturing young leaders and fostering a positive and participative school environment.

Maligui Elementary School successfully celebrated National Children’s Month with a simple yet meaningful program highlighting learners’ talents and well-being.

The event began with a prayer and the Philippine National Anthem via multimedia presentation, followed by 𝙊𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙍𝙚𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙠𝙨 from 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙘𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙖 𝘾. 𝘿𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙜𝙤𝙣𝙤, 𝙈𝙏-𝙄. One of the program’s highlights was the presentation of various grade levels, where learners showcased their creativity, confidence, and unique abilities.

After the presentations, the excitement continued with 𝙇𝙖𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙞𝙣𝙤𝙮, facilitated by 𝙇𝙤𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙖 𝙔. 𝘼𝙪𝙭𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙤,𝙏-𝙄𝙄𝙄. Pupils enjoyed traditional Filipino games that promoted teamwork, sportsmanship, and cultural appreciation.

To conclude the program, 𝙎𝙝𝙞𝙚𝙡𝙖 𝙆. 𝙁𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙯, 𝙏-𝙄𝙄𝙄 delivered the Closing Remarks, expressing gratitude and acknowledging the efforts of everyone involved.

The entire event was smoothly hosted by 𝙅𝙤𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙮𝙣 𝙍. 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙥𝙘𝙞𝙤𝙣, 𝙏-𝙄𝙄 who served as the Master of Ceremony.

The celebration was held on November 26, 2025 at the Maligui ES Multipurpose Hall, bringing together teachers, learners, and guests for a fun and educational morning dedicated to the joy of reading.

The program opened with a 𝙙𝙤𝙭𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮 𝙂𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙚 𝙄𝙑 𝙋𝙚𝙣𝙖𝙩, followed by a multimedia presentation of the 𝙋𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝘼𝙣𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢. 𝙈𝙏-1 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙘𝙞𝙡𝙖 𝘾. 𝘿𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙤𝙣𝙤 delivered the opening remarks, emphasizing the significance of reading in developing well-rounded learners.

𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡 𝙋𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙖𝙡 𝘼𝙫𝙖𝙡𝙮𝙧𝙖 𝙇. 𝘼𝙩𝙤𝙣𝙜 delivered an inspiring message highlighting the role of reading in shaping critical thinking and empowering students to explore the world through books.

Lively presentations added color to the event, including an intermission number by 𝙂𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙚 𝙄𝙄𝙄 𝙅𝙤𝙧𝙙𝙖𝙣. 𝘼𝙊-𝙄𝙄 𝙍𝙃𝙊𝙉𝘼𝙇𝙀𝙀𝙉 𝙉. 𝙎𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙚𝙡 also introduced the invited guests, marking a warm welcome to all participants.

The pupils proudly showcased their talents during the program. “𝙎𝙞 𝙀𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙀𝙣𝙜𝙠𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙙𝙖”, performed by 𝙅𝙝𝙤𝙣 𝘿𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝘼𝙜𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙂𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙚 𝙑𝙄 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙥𝙘𝙞𝙤𝙣, delighted everyone with his expressive and engaging narration. “𝙒𝙞𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙃𝙚𝙧 𝙏𝙝𝙧𝙚𝙚 𝙒𝙞𝙨𝙝𝙚𝙨,” presented by 𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙥𝙪𝙥𝙞𝙡𝙨 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙂𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙨 𝙑 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙑𝙄, conveyed meaningful lessons through their creative and heartfelt storytelling. Meanwhile, the 𝙎𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝘽𝙞𝙜𝙠𝙖𝙨 number by the 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙢𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙥𝙪𝙥𝙞𝙡𝙨 highlighted impressive teamwork, strong vocal expression, and remarkable reading fluency.

A major highlight of the program was the 𝙃𝘼𝙋𝙄𝙨𝙖𝙗𝙚𝙡𝙖 𝙈𝙤𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙚 𝙇𝙞𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙧𝙮 Activity, which allowed the pupils to explore various books and demonstrate their reading comprehension skills.Excitement filled the venue as learners eagerly participated, and prizes were awarded to those who successfully answered the questions.

The program concluded with closing remarks from 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙖 𝙇𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙨 𝘾. 𝙋𝙚𝙣𝙖𝙩 𝙏-𝙄𝙄𝙄 who highlighted the importance of sustaining collaborative literacy initiatives in the school community.

Serving as 𝙈𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝘾𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙮, 𝙇𝙤𝙪𝙞𝙨𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙧 𝙁. 𝘼𝙡𝙖𝙟𝙖𝙨, 𝙏-𝙄𝙄𝙄 ensured the smooth and vibrant flow of the event.

The second day of the Joint Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of the Philippines (BSP/GSP) Encampment 2025 at Maligui Elementary School was filled with energy, learning, and teamwork as scouts continued to live out the true spirit of discipline, leadership, and service.

The day began with a 4:00 a.m. wake-up call, followed by an energetic Zumba session that set a lively tone for the morning. The program continued with the awarding of patrol winners, the entrance of colors and flag ceremony, and the announcement of unannounced awards, recognizing the scouts’ enthusiasm, teamwork, and discipline throughout the camp.

A lecture on the History of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) was facilitated by Sir Marvin Jordan, who shared insights about the organization’s legacy of molding responsible and service-oriented citizens. Meanwhile, Ma’am Prescila Domingono led the lecture on the History of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP), inspiring young girls to lead with courage, faith, and patriotism.

The morning continued with an informative Safety Precautions on Earthquake session conducted by Sir 𝙂𝘼𝘽𝙍𝙄𝙀𝙇 𝙊. 𝘾𝘼𝙍𝙊 𝙅𝙍. , 𝙀𝙈𝙏 and Sir 𝙂𝙄𝙊𝙑𝘼𝙉𝙉𝙄 𝙍. 𝙋𝙀𝙉̃𝘼𝙁𝙇𝙊𝙍, 𝙀𝙈𝙏 CDRRM representative, promoting awareness and preparedness among all participants.

In the afternoon, scouts faced the thrilling Obstacle Course by Patrol, which tested their teamwork, endurance, and problem-solving skills. The activity aimed to build unity, cooperation, and resilience—values at the heart of scouting.

The teachers of Maligui Elementary School were commended for their dedication and hard work in preparing meaningful activities for the scouts. Appreciation was also extended to the parents for their 101% support and cooperation.

Indeed, Day 2 of the Joint BSP/GSP Encampment 2025 was not just a day of fun and challenges—it was a day of learning, unity, and service, perfectly reflecting the heart of scouting.

The Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of the Philippines (BSP/GSP) aim to develop discipline, leadership, service, and patriotism among the youth. Through this joint encampment, our scouts were able to strengthen camaraderie, teamwork, and a sense of responsibility.

To make the activity even more meaningful, teachers integrated the 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝘾𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 into the encampment — highlighting the importance of global unity, peace, and cultural appreciation alongside the values of scouting. This combination fostered both character formation and world awareness among our learners.

𝙈𝘼𝙇𝙄𝙂𝙐𝙄 𝙀𝙇𝙀𝙈𝙀𝙉𝙏𝘼𝙍𝙔 𝙎𝘾𝙃𝙊𝙊𝙇 𝙃𝙊𝙇𝘿𝙎 𝙊𝙍𝙄𝙀𝙉𝙏𝘼𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉 𝙊𝙉 𝘼𝙍𝘼𝙇 𝙋𝙍𝙊𝙂𝙍𝘼𝙈

Maligui Elementary School successfully launched the ARAL (𝘼𝙘𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙘 𝙍𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘼𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜) Program through a formal orientation held at the school grounds. The event gathered teachers, parents, and stakeholders to strengthen collaborative efforts in addressing learning gaps among pupils.

The program opened with the 𝙋𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝘼𝙣𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢 and a 𝙥𝙧𝙖𝙮𝙚𝙧, both presented through multimedia. This was followed by 𝙊𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙍𝙚𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙠𝙨 delivered by 𝙈𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙏𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙧 I, 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙘𝙞𝙡𝙖 𝘾. 𝘿𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙜𝙤𝙣𝙤, who emphasized the importance of community involvement in ensuring the success of ARAL. Moreover, Ma'am 𝙇𝙤𝙪𝙞𝙨𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙧 𝙁. 𝘼𝙡𝙖𝙟𝙖𝙨, 𝙏𝙄𝙄𝙄 presented the 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙋𝙪𝙧𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙚, highlighting the program’s goal of assisting learners in recovering from missed competencies and strengthening foundational skills. The 𝙊𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙧 was led by 𝙋𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙖𝙡 𝙄𝙄 Avalyra Urao Locson-Atong , who gave a detailed discussion on the objectives and implementation strategies of the ARAL Program in Maligui ES. In addition to, 𝙈𝙖'𝙖𝙢 𝙅𝙤𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙖 𝙂. 𝘿𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙨 𝙎𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙤𝙨, 𝙏𝙄𝙄 also gave a short talk on guidance and counseling, underscoring the importance of supporting the mental health and well-being of learners. The closing part of the event included an 𝙊𝙥𝙚𝙣 𝙁𝙤𝙧𝙪𝙢, where issues and concerns were raised and addressed, ensuring clarity among parents and stakeholders. Moreso, 𝙂𝙋𝙏𝘼 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙀𝙡𝙨𝙞𝙚 𝘼. 𝙃𝙪𝙜𝙤 delivered the Closing Remarks, expressing gratitude for the active participation of everyone present.

The school likewise extended its heartfelt appreciation to the dedicated 𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙛𝙛 for preparing all the necessary materials and arrangements for the orientation, as well as to the 𝙅𝙤𝙗 𝙊𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙡 (𝙅𝙊𝙨) for their warm accommodation and support throughout the event.

Serving as the program’s emcee was 𝙈𝙖'𝙖𝙢 𝙁𝙖𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝘼𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙡𝙖 𝙈. 𝙈𝙖𝙘𝙖𝙥𝙞𝙡𝙞, 𝙏𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙄, who smoothly facilitated the flow of activities.

The orientation marked a significant step in ensuring that the ARAL Program is well-implemented in Maligui Elementary School, with the unified support of educators, parents, and the community. The school expressed optimism that the initiative will help learners overcome challenges and achieve better academic performance.
