Guidelines and Mechanics
1. The Battle of the Bands 2024 is open to all interested youth bands in the City of Isabela ONLY.
2. Each group must have a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 7 members.
3. The members of the band may be composed of all males, all females, or a mix.
4. There is no restriction on the genre of music to be performed, but it should be related to youth.
5. Each group will have a 15-minute allotment for their performance, including preparation time, the warm-up song (which is not included in the judging), and the contest piece. Exceeding this time limit will result in a 5-point deduction from the group's total score by each judge. A sound check/rehearsal slot will also be provided from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on the day of the event, during which bands can test their equipment and rehearse.
6. Using pre-recorded music of any kind is strictly prohibited. Such use may result in the bandโs immediate disqualification.
7. Each group must provide their respective instruments except for the drum set, which will be provided by the organizers. A minimum of 4 amplifiers will also be provided by the organizers for one lead guitar, one rhythm guitar, one bass guitar, and one keyboard.
8. Damages to the sound systemโs equipment during the performance shall be shouldered by the performing band.
9. The band will perform one (1) contest piece.
10. The top 3 bands with the highest scores, as determined by the panel of judges, shall be declared winnersโFirst Place, Second Place, and Third Place respectively.
11. The battle will start at 8:00 PM on August 01, 2024, at Plaza Rizal.
12. Non-appearance of the band during their performance turn shall result in immediate and automatic disqualification by the organizer.
13. The Organizing Committee will not be held accountable for any injuries or other negative occurrences.
14. This Battle of the Bands is free of entry fees, but there will only be 7 slots available. Entry is strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.
15. The organizer should provide an official timekeeper to monitor and remind the performers. (Note: The timer should be projected on the side of the stage.)
16. The judgesโ decision is final and irrevocable.

1. The deadline for registration is 11:59 PM on July 22, 2024.

The HapIsabela Youth Summit 3.0: The Rise of Saga Bahau Kaonde'an was a vibrant blend of education, teamwork, and self-discovery. On the Day 2, enthusiastic participants delved into a series of thought-provoking lectures delivered by a diverse lineup of experts who emphasized the role of young people in driving positive societal change including youth volunteerism by Mr. Michael Palor Tual, self-development by Ms. Amina Shayne Baginda Halil, and prevention against violent extremism and survival tips by the 4th SF Battalion, Cabunbata, Isabela Basilan.

After the thorough selection process among the 100+ applications that we received, the Isabela City Local Youth Development Office releases the list of applicants who have passed and qualified our deliberation for the HapIsabela Youth Summit 3.0 official participants.
Among the aforementioned number of applications, sixty (60) individuals emerge on top. The participants will be engaged in a series of workshops and survival activities on that will test their personal growth and challenge them to become transformative leaders on July 31-August 3, 2023.
