Nursing Students Spread Christmas Cheer in Barangay Capo
College of Nursing Student Body Organization (SBO) and Community Extension Service (CES) marked the Christmas season with a Community Christmas Party held at Barangay Capo, where children and families gathered for a morning of gift giving, games, and shared moments. Smiles filled the covered court as children received their Christmas presents and enjoyed the simple joy of celebrating together.
The event served as a way for the college to give thanks and connect with the community through small but meaningful acts of service. Beyond the gifts, the activity showed how time, presence, and shared effort can turn an ordinary day into a warm reminder of what the season is all about.

The 21st century is marked by the advancement of technology, globalization, and modern industrialism to make our lives comfortable and hassle-free. However, these changes cause environmental degradation, primarily pollution due to the increasing number of projected production of goods and improper waste management efforts of humanity.
With this, if the environment continues to degrade to make room for advanced development, then we will be putting our health and the environment at risk of unavoidable consequences of our actions, e.g., Global Warming!
This infographic will provide tips and information about proper waste management, discouragement of the use of single-use plastic, and fun facts about the causes of plastic pollution in our environment to help you to internalize and realize the significant rationale of reducing your plastic footprint to save our health and the environment!
Through this campaign, we are encouraging you to reduce your plastic footprint by choosing to recycle and to use environmentally friendly products that will be beneficial to us and our planet!

The Saint Ferdinand College โ College of Nursing welcomes a new chapter with a logo that speaks to the heart of modern nursing. More than a mark of identity, it reflects a living philosophyโone that blends compassion, adaptability, and the enduring pursuit of growth. Each symbol carries a message that connects the past, present, and future of an SFCian nurse.
The ๐ท๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ผ๐๐๐๐ represents the bond among people, health, and the environment, reminding nurses that healing is holistic and rooted in harmony. The ๐ญ๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ช๐๐๐ captures the importance of adapting to change, just as the environment influences wellness and recovery. Both symbols embody balanceโbetween compassion and science, between care and progress.
At the center, the ๐ช๐๐
๐๐๐๐๐ symbolizes the nurseโs responsibility to protect and restore health. It stands for healing in its truest senseโbody, mind, and spirit intertwined. Alongside it, the ๐ช๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐บ๐๐๐๐๐๐ highlights the empathy and dignity that define every act of genuine care, echoing the human connection that gives nursing its soul.
Completing the emblem is the ๐ท๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ฎ๐๐๐๐๐, a reminder that nursing is a continuous journey. Each step forward represents resilience, excellence, and the courage to rise above challenges. It celebrates the commitment to serve not only with knowledge but also with heart.
Through these symbols, the College of Nursing continues to live by its guiding wordsโOra et Labora et Legeโto pray, to work, and to learn. As it embraces the ever-evolving world of healthcare, Saint Ferdinand College stands firm in shaping nurses who are not just ready for the future but ready to lead it.
