Visayas State University (VSU) Isabel culminated its celebration of the 126th Civil Service Anniversary yesterday, September 30, through a program that brought together faculty and staff for a day of learning, recognition, fellowship, and celebration.

The celebration featured a re-echo seminar and orientation on pollution control, providing personnel with relevant information to strengthen their awareness and understanding of environmental responsibilities in the workplace and public service. It also included the presentation of loyalty awards to deserving employees in recognition of their years of dedicated service to the University.

Adding to the celebration were games, departmental TikTok presentations, and other activities that fostered camaraderie while highlighting the creativity, teamwork, and spirit of VSU Isabel's personnel. Various awards were likewise presented to recognize employees and departments, including the On-Time-All-The-Time Award, Timeless Trendsetter Award, and Best in TikTok Presentation.

As VSU Isabel joins the nation in honoring the dedicated public servants of the Philippine civil service, the University continues to recognize the invaluable contributions of its personnel in advancing its mission and delivering meaningful public service.

Today, let’s take a little time to sit down, share a meal, and catch up with the people we call family. As we celebrate the 34th National Family Week, may we be reminded that even the simplest moments together can mean so much.

As part of the month-long celebration of the 126th Civil Service Commission (CSC) Anniversary, Visayas State University (VSU) Isabel conducted the Re-echo Seminar on Laws and Regulations on Government Expenditure on September 25, 2026, at the SMART Room, Administration Building, gathering faculty and staff for a capacity-building session on government financial management and accountability.

The seminar served as a venue for the cascade of knowledge on state auditing rules and regulations, with discussions covering budgeting and fund utilization, procurement, supply management and asset governance, accounting, documentation, and audit compliance.

The re-echo seminar sought to strengthen participants' understanding of government expenditure rules and promote the lawful, transparent, and accountable management of public funds, while helping prevent irregular, unnecessary, and wasteful expenditures.

The initiative highlights VSU Isabel's continuing commitment to responsible public service, sound financial management, and good governance, reinforcing a culture of accountability and excellence among its faculty and staff.
