𝗖𝗦𝗣𝗖 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗧𝗢𝗦𝗣–𝗕𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗴’𝗹 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱

Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering (BSECE) graduate Fernan Matthew Enimedez of Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges has been selected as one of the five Regional Winners in the 59th Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines (TOSP)–Bikol Search.

Selected among 15 student leaders across the region, Enimedez was honored during the Regional Awarding Ceremony following a four-day program of community outreach, environmental initiatives, and deliberations in Naga City.

According to Enimedez, community journalism in political spaces was his primary advocacy during the evaluation.

“The advocacy that resonated most with the selection committee was community journalism and how challenging it is to be practiced in a province where there is a power imbalance and dangerous political climate,” Enimedez said, adding that campus journalism serves to disrupt systemic injustices.

During his tenure at CSPC, Enimedez spearheaded key academic and student affairs initiatives, including ABRASAHAN 2024 and cReate 2025—the pioneer research initiative of the Engineering Mathematics and Science Society (EMSS) that presented the new CSPC Research Agenda despite venue and weather setbacks.

Furthermore, he emphasized that student leadership focuses on collective impact rather than personal titles.

“Meaningful student leadership is not having to be remembered by your name and the position you held, but by the efforts made and contributions that allowed students to participate and provided them with the opportunities they need for the progress of themselves and the student community as a whole,” he stated.

As he prepares for the national TOSP search, Enimedez stated that his immediate career plan is to acquire his Electronics Engineering professional license to further expand his community initiatives.
