USANT - CTE English Circle

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: English majors from Batch 2025 achieved another remarkable achievement on the 𝙇𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙀𝙭𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙏𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙨 (𝙇𝙀𝙏) last September 2025, with every single student passing the exam and maintaining their unbroken record of a 100% 𝙥𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙚.

The remarkable success of this batch is a testament to the quality education offered by 𝙐𝙎𝘼𝙉𝙏 – 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙜𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙏𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙀𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣. Their perfect passing rate in the licensure examination reflects not only the dedication and hard work of the students but also the guidance, expertise, and support provided by their instructors. Through countless hours of preparation, collaborative learning, and continuous mentorship, the college has nurtured competent and confident future educators.

This achievement highlights the institution’s commitment to excellence in teacher education and its role in shaping professionals ready to inspire the next generation.

𝙇𝙊𝙊𝙆: English major resident scholars for this academic year proudly took part in the 𝗠𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 on November 24, 2025, held at the USANT Forum. The event gathered scholars from various college programs for a warm and meaningful conversation with the University President.

This special gathering was organized to recognize all 𝗦𝗚𝗢 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀 in the college department for this academic year. It provided a space for scholars to connect, share their experiences, and feel valued for their commitment and academic excellence.

The English Circle Club took part in the University-wide Halloween celebration, 𝙎𝙋𝙊𝙊𝙆𝙏𝘼𝘾𝙐𝙇𝘼𝙍 𝘽𝙊𝙊-𝙏𝙃𝙎, held on October 28, 2025, at the USANT Forum. The event was organized by the 𝗨𝗦𝗔𝗡𝗧 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗻𝗶 𝗔𝗳𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘀 in partnership with the 𝗨𝗦𝗔𝗡𝗧 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀.

To take part in the celebration, the English Circle Club prepared and sold “𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘆 𝗣𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗮𝗴𝘀,” allowing everyone to enjoy the event while snapping creative photos with their Halloween-themed products.

The Halloween celebration filled the campus with excitement, laughter, and Halloween spirit. Students dressed in creative costumes, along with faculty and staff, joined in the fun—making it a memorable event for the entire USANT community.

In celebration of World Mental Health Month, selected English Circle officers participated in the 𝗣𝘀𝘆𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝗶𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴-𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 with the theme “𝘿𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙣 𝙨𝙖 𝙂𝙞𝙩𝙣𝙖 𝙣𝙜 𝙆𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙨: 𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙋𝙨𝙮𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙁𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝘼𝙞𝙙”, held on October 15, 2025, at the USANT, SGO AVR.

The event was organized by Office of the Student and Alumni Affairs (OSAA), Psychology Society of USANT (PSU), Guiled of Interactive Liberal Arts (GUILAS) , and Council of Student Leaders (CSL). Joined by the esteemed resource speaker, Teresa V. Buena, LPT, RGC.

With the participation from various college organizations, the activity enriched their understanding of mental health support and improve their capacity to respond with empathy, establish human connection, and provide compassionate care in times of crisis.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: English Circle Club, together with the 2nd to 4th-year English majors, joined the 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆-𝗪𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀’ 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 with the theme “𝙀𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙀𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙨: 𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚, 𝘽𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙎𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮” held on October 6, 2025, at the University of Saint Anthony (USANT) Forum. The club organized a heartfelt surprise for their English instructors—Ma’am Mary Francine Bagacina, Ma’am Mayumi Marmol, and Dean Rafael Oñate—to show their appreciation for the teachers’ dedication and commitment to guiding students.

The celebration was filled with joy and gratitude as the English majors presented gifts and messages of thanks to their instructors. The highlight of the event was the announcement of 𝗠𝗮’𝗮𝗺 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝘂𝗺𝗶 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗼𝗹 as the 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 at the college level, bringing pride and happiness to the entire English Department.

English Circle Officers hosted a fun and meaningful 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐭 for all English Major students on August 22, 2025 at USANT SGO 117.

The event served as a warm welcome to the 2nd-year students, a heartfelt send-off to the graduating 4th years, and an opportunity for the 1st-year students who are still deciding on their major to learn more about the English program.

It was a day filled with introductions, sharing, and bonding — a chance for everyone to connect, celebrate, and strengthen community as English Majors.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: In preparation for the opening of classes, English Circle officers, along with members from various organizations, took part in the 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐝𝐚 𝐄𝐬𝐤𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐚 on August 8, 2025, at the USANT-SGO Building. The activity aimed to help prepare and improve school facilities, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for students in the upcoming academic year.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: English Circle officers attended the annual 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩 (𝐋𝐓𝐂) 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 with the theme "𝐖𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩: 𝐔𝐧𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧" held on August 7, 2025, at the University of Saint Anthony (USANT) Forum.

The event was organized by the 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 (𝐂𝐒𝐋) and was participated by officers from various college organizations. The camp featured seminars and highlighted team-building activities designed to strengthen leadership skills and promote teamwork among student leaders.
