🤝 Strengthening Partnerships for the Strengthened Senior High School Program

Today, Marian College, Inc. led by Fr. Gilbert Gente, School President, together with Mr. Kenneth Esto (SHS Principal), Mr. Rene Tablate (Dean of Criminology), and Mr. Norven Cadungog (IT Head), visited the TESDA Provincial Office to discuss potential partnerships for the transition to the Strengthened Senior High School Program next school year.

The meeting also explored scholarship opportunities for our faculty to earn TESDA NC II certifications aligned with their specializations, preparing them to handle Tech-Pro elective subjects and equip our Grade 12 learners to graduate as NC II holders under the new curriculum.

Together, we aim to build a future-ready Senior High School program that empowers both teachers and students with the skills needed for lifelong success. 🌟

LOOK | Curriculum and Career Guidance Forum 2025

Held this afternoon, August 1, 2025, 1 PM at the Archbishop Julius S. Tonel Audio Visual Room, Marian College, Inc. the CURRICULUM AND CAREER GUIDANCE FORUM gathered MCI educators, resource speakers, government and church partners to collaboratively strengthen the future of Senior High School Education.

This initiative was spearheaded by the SHS Principal, Kenneth A. Esto, MAEd in partnership with the Guidance Team: Dr. Beverly L. Miñoza, High School Guidance Coordinator, Dr. Renante P. Calatrava, College Guidance Counselor, Rica Lyn Bañas, LPT, JHS Guidance Associate, and Veah A. Indong, LPT, SHS Guidance Associate.

The forum was organized in light of the school’s preparation for the transition to Strengthened SHS Curriculum, a shift that calls for a more relevant, responsive, and values-integrated academic framework.

The audience of today’s forum are the dedicated faculty members, which are the very individuals who will lead the crafting and implementation of the curriculum updating procedure for the Senior High School program. The data and insights shared by the speakers will serve as vital input in aligning learning competencies, refining performances tasks, and designing instruction that supports the SHS 4 exits.

The forum aimed to identify learning gaps, community priorities, and in-demand job opportunities both locally and internationally. This platform also served to emphasize the importance of the integration of values formation and lifelong learning skills, ensuring that our learners are holistically prepared for higher education, employment, entrepreneurship, or vocational tracks.

With sincerest gratitude, the Marian College SHS Department warmly appreciates the presence of the government agencies and church ministries: DOLE, DepEd, DOST, TESDA, LGU, Youth Ministry, and Social Action Ministry. Thank you for generously sharing your expertise, insights and experiences that have added immense value to the ongoing curriculum development efforts. Your presence reflects the strength of community collaboration and shared responsibility in shaping meaningful education.

This milestone was made possible through the strong leadership and support of our School President, Rev. Fr. Gilbert C. Gente, and the united efforts of the Marian College faculty and staff.

Together, we continue our mission of forming competent, compassionate, and Christ-centered Marianistas ready to meet the demands of the 21st century!
