Attention to all incoming Grade 7, and Grade 11 learners applying for our Special Science Curricular Programs!
Pursuant to Division Memorandum No. 151, s. 2026, we will be conducting the Second Batch of the Computer-Based Assessment for the following programs: Incoming Grade 7

SNHS Conducts Earthquake Drill Simulation

In line with the nationwide observance of the Quarterly Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED), the Surabay National High School (SNHS) conducted a school-wide earthquake drill simulation on October 16, 2025 to enhance students’ and staff preparedness in case of a real seismic event.

The activity began with the alarm sounded, signaling the start of the drill. Students and teachers immediately executed the proper safety procedure and evacuated to designated open areas following pre-identified routes.

Rolando Guzman, Araling Panlipunan Headteacher, commended the active participation of all classes and reminded everyone that drills like this are vital in promoting a culture of safety and disaster readiness. “Preparedness can save lives. These drills ensure that our learners know exactly what to do during emergencies,” the principal said.

Overall, the earthquake drill at SNHS was deemed successful, with students demonstrating discipline and awareness throughout the simulation. The activity reaffirmed the school’s commitment to safety, resilience, and disaster preparedness.
