Taway National High School officially joined the nationwide kickoff of Brigada Eskwela 2025 on June 6, 2025, in line with the Department of Educationโs annual school maintenance program. This yearโs theme, โBrigada Eskwela: Sama-sama para sa bayang bumabasa,โ highlights the importance of community cooperation in promoting literacy and preparing safe, clean, and inclusive learning spaces.
As part of the initial activities, Barangay Taway Captain, Hon. Tito T. Badon, took the initiative to lead the grass cutting within the school grounds and the surrounding areas outside the fence. His support provided a strong foundation for the schoolโs weeklong efforts.
In addition, members of the 102nd Infantry "Igsoon" Brigade, Philippine Army, and 106th Infantry "Tigpanalipod" Battalion, 1ID, PA extended their assistance through pruning, grass cutting, and the construction of a temporary fence. Their contribution played a vital role in enhancing the schoolโs physical environment.
Furthermore, the event was marked by the active participation of parents, teachers, and students, whose cooperation and volunteerism ensured the successful implementation of the dayโs tasks. Their collective efforts reflect the shared responsibility in maintaining a safe and welcoming school for all learners.
Also present during the kickoff was Ms. Krisha Panoncillon, a Brigada sa Pagbasa volunteer, who contributed to the promotion of reading and literacy programs. Her involvement underscored the significance of supporting learners not only through physical preparations but also through academic initiatives.
Brigada Eskwela activities at Taway National High School are scheduled to continue from June 9 to 13, 2025. The school extends its gratitude to all volunteers and stakeholders who continue to show their commitment to education. Through unified efforts, the school community aims to create a better learning environment for all.
